💃🫁 Dancing with the Scars.

For Melvin, ballroom dancing is more than a hobby — it’s a celebration of life after transplant. Before receiving his double-lung transplant, Melvin relied on oxygen around the clock, even wearing his “jet pack” while dancing.

Now, he’s dancing on a national stage. At the Transplant Games of America in Denver, Melvin and his partner brought home two gold medals, a silver and a bronze in ballroom dance. 🏅

His journey is a powerful reminder of what a second chance can make possible. This October, during Healthy Lung Month, we’re celebrating Melvin, his donor hero and the gift that gave him the chance to keep dancing. 💚
