Hooked on Justice is a new partner with Envision Success and we are excited in this opportunity.
Hooked on Justice, founded by Emily Barnes, is a nationwide advocacy organization dedicated to restoring dignity, demanding accountability, and defending the rights of incarcerated people. We serve as a bridge between those who have been silenced and the justice they deserve.
We believe justice without humanity is not justice at all. Our work is guided by four core pillars:
Voice
Amplifying the stories of individuals the system seeks to ignore, ensuring lived experiences are heard, documented, and respected.
Accountability
Exposing systemic failures and holding correctional and legal institutions to the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and human rights.
Community
Providing a lifeline of support, education, and connection for families impacted by incarceration, breaking isolation and strengthening collective power.
Justice Reform
Driving meaningful policy change at the state and federal levels through targeted advocacy, research, and coalition-building.
Supporting Veterans Behind the Walls
We are committed to advocating for incarcerated veterans—men and women who have served our country and now face the challenges of incarceration. Many carry the invisible wounds of service, including trauma and unmet mental health needs.
Hooked on Justice works to ensure these individuals are not forgotten by:
Advocating for access to proper medical and mental health care
Supporting reentry pathways tailored to veterans
Raising awareness of service-related trauma within the justice system
Connecting veterans to resources, dignity, and second chances
From our home base in Oklahoma to families across the country, Hooked on Justice, under the leadership of Founder Emily Barnes, remains steadfast in the belief that every person has a story worth telling—and a life worth fighting for.
