🚨Governor's Arts Awards RFQs are AVAILABLE🚨
These awards honor those who support, build, or amplify arts and creativity in Indiana, creating strong Indiana communities where people choose to live, work, and create.

The Indiana Arts Commission(IAC) coordinates the presentation of the Governor’s Arts Awards. The Commission solicits nominations for award recipients and coordinates the selection process and commissions an Indiana artist to create custom works of art to serve as the awards.

Potential recipients include individuals (artists, leaders, advocates, philanthropists, educators, elected officials); organizations and businesses (nonprofit or for profit); tourism entities; towns or cities; schools; or libraries from rural or metro areas of Indiana.

Community Tuesday: Kicking The Stigma Art Wellness Workshop
Kicking The Stigma teamed up with the Indy Art Center to host student-athletes from North Central and Warren Central girls flag football teams at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center for an art wellness workshop focused on mental health, creative expression and connection alongside Colts players and Cheerleaders.

As WE continue to advocate for arts creation as a wellness aggregate, we're proud to see other community leaders to take part. Congrats to the Indianapolis Colts for their leadership in wellness practices -- we hope to team up with you on your next go-round! And to the student-athletes, keep up the excellent work and if you're interested in MORE artistic endeavors, we're ready to help!

Noblesville is for MUSICIANS.

As a fairly new resident of Noblesville, one of the things I've become most fond of is the way we embrace music and the makers of it. We've had some incredible events, from Porch Fest, to Federal Hill concerts, and activations throughout the Courthouse square, but I have to admit the Song Writer Series has a special place in my heart.

There's something special about not just hearing the music, but learning the personal narratives and experiences that inspired them. A huge shout out goes to John Gilmore for his curation of voices, to the generosity of Carol Griffith for sponsoring, and to the chorus of voices who've brought their magic to the stage.

This year's series may be over...but the music continues and we WILL be back, sooner than you think!

Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library will be hosting Roz Puppets for an evening performance of "Little Dog's Spooky Bone Hunt, through an Arts Project Support Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. Roz Puppets is an Indiana-based, interactive, children's puppet show, created by Dave (puppeteer) & Carolyn (librarian), entertaining families through stories throughout the midwest. Webinar Series to Cover Planning, Producing Live Music Events

Pathway to Performance is a four-part learning series designed to give community-based partners the practical knowledge, tools, and confidence to plan, fund, produce, and sustain successful live music events and experiences in public spaces.
(INDIANAPOLIS) Today, the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced the Pathway to Performance webinar series. Pathway to Performance is a four-part learning series designed to give local municipalities, Main Street organizations, civic organizations, arts organizations, and other community-based partners the practical knowledge, tools, and confidence to plan, fund, produce, and sustain successful live music events and experiences in public spaces. The series is free to attend.

The learning series will be led by Jenny Boyts, Executive Director of the Parks Alliance of Indianapolis. Previously, Jenny served as CEO of Forty5 Presents, an Indianapolis-based, locally owned live entertainment company behind The Vogue Theatre, Rock the Ruins, and Turntable.

Over the series, the topics will include:

Foundation & Frameworks: Planning for Success | Wednesday, Oct. 14, 10AM ET
