Healthy&Dwell, INC Helping those help themselves by providing safe supportive housing to improve the lives of people in need. In Hamilton Co.

Since the 1990’s mental health care beds and facilities have drastically decreased. The funding for programming has been cut and services along with it. Currently, there is a 2 week to 3 month waiting list for a bed at a state hospital. In addition, group homes who provide 24-hr care in a less restrictive environment are often not available long term and there are not enough. Indiana there are no

group home settings for people with mental illness. There are also zero acute care beds to treat someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Healthy&Dwell, INC will work with city and county officials to improve the mental health care in this community.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, with a maximum of 8 people per vehicle.

Here are the dates for the mobile food distributions in June.

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana Inc.. operates a fresh food and groceries drive-thru for Hamilton County families at Hamilton Heights HS and Harbor Shores Church open to anyone in need.

Mobile food distributions are weather permitting and subject to change. If in doubt due to weather conditions, confirm the dates and times with the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County office or the appropriate agency.
