Marilyn's Place Non-Food Pantry

Marilyn's Place Non-Food Pantry MPNFP provides free & consistent access to quality-of-life necessities in a modified retail setting. Food and water are survival necessities.

Fortunately, Hamilton County has a well-supported network of food pantries to assist residents meet those needs. Weather/work/school appropriate clothing, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies are quality of life necessities. So are dignity, self-esteem, and confidence. Unfortunately, those needs were not being met with any consistency when Marilyn's Place Incorporated was founded. We d

esigned Marilyn's Place Non-Food Pantry to provide the commodities clients need, when they need them, in a way that's as close to a normal shopping experience as possible, including a limited budget and freedom of choice over what to buy as well as the brand, size, flavor, form, etc. But instead of cash our clients pay with voucher points. Our qualification policy is simple – request assistance, provide basic contact and demographic information, and sign the Participation Rules and Procedures after thoroughly reviewing them with an MPNFP volunteer. Asking for help is hard; if you say you need help, we take your word for it. We do, however, reserve the right to require documentation substantiating need should our fiduciary duty to donors as well as clients necessitate doing so; ie. circumstances indicate client(s) voucher point purchases are being sold for profit.

Marilyn's Place will not be re-opening at our current location. We are presently looking for a suitable location to continue our services. We are not filing for dissolution or going out of business. We are simply working on making changes to our Board of Directors and relocating. We'll keep you posted on our progress, going forward. Thank all of you for your support.

At the end of November, I will be stepping down as Operations Manager of Marilyn's Place and resigning as Board President.
I do not make this decision lightly.
I've been running the day-to-day operations of MPI for five years, now. 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Never taking any time off.
But due to recurring health issues, I am no longer able to perform the duties required and I will be retiring.
My hope now, is that someone will be willing to continue on with our mission, as we can then pass the torch and keep the spirit of Marilyn's Place alive.
If they are hungry, feed them.
If they thirst, give them drink.
If they are cold, give them a warm coat,
And clothes to protect them.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Marilyn's Place will be permanently closing. Due to circumstances beyond our control, and thru no fault of our own, we have to vacate our current premises, by the end of 2025.
Hilary, Marie, and I started Marilyn's Place in 2018 with not much more than a hope and a prayer. And we have been proud to serve Noblesville and the surrounding communities since opening to the public in July 2020.
At this time, we are seeking anyone, whether it be a group, an organization, a church or even an individual that has space available and would like to continue on with our mission of providing free clothing and other goods for those in need.
We would be happy to donate all of our clothing, fixtures, racks, furniture and other goods toward your endeavor,
If interested, please call 317.219.5449 or
email [email protected]

A big shout out and thank you to all those who wished me well, during my time off. I was quite ill for a couple of weeks and ended up in the hospital for three days with bronchitis and pneumonia. I'm on the mend now and Marilyn's Place is open for business. Again, Thank You!
