Today, 25 years later, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 individuals who lost their lives in unimaginable attacks on America, and we honor the courage of the first responders, caregivers, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary acts of service, sacrifice, and compassion in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

At EveryAge, we are reminded that even in life's most difficult moments, hope, faith, and community endure. The events of September 11 revealed the strength of the human spirit and the importance of caring for one another, values that continue to guide our ministry and mission each day.

💪 Happy Labor Day! As we mark the unofficial end of summer, we also honor the work and contributions laborers have made to the development and achievements of the United States. Thanks to them, we have safer, healthier, and better balanced working conditions.

Today, we applaud the benefits and circumstances of our own jobs that these early workers fought for and made possible. While you enjoy a cookout, vacation, or couch time, celebrate the good work that you do as well! 🎉

💗 At the end of every summer, we honor the Julius Society members at our EveryAge retirement communities, celebrating their commitment to leave a lasting legacy through planned giving. These dinners are a heartfelt tribute to the generosity and vision of our donors, and we honor living members as well as those who've passed on. ⭐️

We also enjoy an inspiring address from a featured speaker and come together to acknowledge our shared values and desire to profoundly impact the lives of others. These photos are from our event at Abernethy Laurels. 📸

Today, we remember the fight against tyranny that led our forebears to establish a new and free nation. We celebrate our hard-won independence and our shared belief "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, [and] that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

May you enjoy this holiday and the riches of summer with friends, family, and all that you love best. Happy birthday, America! 🗽

And we offer a special 'thank you' to anyone who has served as a father figure to the people in their lives. Your willingness to uplift, nurture, and care for others makes all the difference. 💙

🎉 Happy Juneteenth! Each year, June 19, or Juneteenth, recalls the date in 1865 when all enslaved African-Americans in the US were made aware of the Emancipation Proclamation and were officially released from their bonds – some two years after President Abraham Lincoln had initially signed the proclamation.

🗽 Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 when President Biden signed it into law. Celebrations include picnics, rodeos, street fairs, cookouts, family reunions, park parties, historical reenactments, and blues festivals. 🧡
