The Salvation Army - Newport, RI Whether it is shelter for a displaced family or a warm cup of coffee for our
bravest and finest—hope and healing is the message of The Salvation Army.

We preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination in Newport County (Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Jamestown, Little Compton and Tiverton). Since 1886, The Salvation Army has been providing social and spiritual services
to communities throughout the world. People given purpose, hearts given hope
and souls finding redemption—this has been our mission

for more than a century. Food pantry (Newport county residents): Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-1pm (Need photo ID for adults in the household, proof of address (bill), birth certificate/medical card for children in household)

Community Meals: Fridays from 4:00-4:45pm and Sundays from 12:30 - 1:15pm (All are welcome! Eat in or get to go. No registration required)

Fresh bread and produce: Tuesday-Friday from 9am-2pm

Youth Programs: Grades 1-5 and Grades 6-12 one Wednesday a month at 5:00pm

Women's Ministry: 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 6:00pm

Bible Study: 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 12:00pm

Sunday Services:
Worship Service 10:00am
Sunday School 11:00am

Last week, The Salvation Army joined the Newport Gulls for a special Star Wars-themed game night! Captain Chris had the honor of throwing out the first pitch, Shieldy was there to cheer him on, and The Salvation Army band helped bring the energy with a special performance.
