🚴🚙🚌🚶‍♀️MOBILITY MATTERS: REIMAGINING BROADWAY, BIKES, AND THE QUASSAICK CREEK GREENWAY💦

Join planners, designers, public officials, and community advocates for a conversation about three interconnected initiatives that are helping shape the future of mobility and public space in Newburgh: the Quassaick Creek Greenway, the City of Newburgh ‘s Bike Plan, and the reimagining of Broadway.

Through visual presentations, case studies, and community discussion, this program explores how these complementary projects can improve connectivity, safety, accessibility, environmental resilience, and economic vitality.
Together, they offer a shared vision for creating a healthier, more equitable, and more vibrant city through thoughtful investments in streets, parks, trails, and public infrastructure.🚴🏼‍♂️🚴🏿‍♀️🌳🚶‍♀️🚶🏽‍♂️🌾💦🌿

Ten years after PFAS contamination in Newburgh’s watershed was made public, its effects are still being felt. 🌊 Current student Stael Toussaint '27 and Lily Rubino, visiting faculty in science, mathematics, and computing, are using the power of public archives to support the community’s intergenerational fight for environmental justice. Their work earned a 2026 Barnabas McHenry Hudson River Valley Award from the Open Space Institute. Congratulations!
