This is such a lovely letter and example of coming together and finding what you have in common. Most often you find how much more you have in common than you first thought. ❤️

At Interfaith Philadelphia, we emphasize the importance of coming together across difference. It can be scary to share what makes us unique, but without being open about our deepest connections to our own faiths, the relationships we build won’t be nearly as strong.

In her new quarterly letter, Executive Director, Sara Zebovitz reflects on the power of embracing what makes us unique, and finding common ground across faiths and traditions.

Check it out here: https://www.interfaithphiladelphia.org/executive-director-letter-fall-2026/

And, look for a new letter every quarter!

Congratulations to President Kent Jordan of the Philadelphia Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and President Joel L’Heureux of the Philadelphia Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on their recognition at tonight’s Interfaith Clergy Awards Ceremony: Honoring Faith Leaders Who Are Making a Difference across Philadelphia.

While neither of these men enjoy the spotlight, we are grateful for the countless hours of service they give across the Philadelphia area.

Congratulations, also, to all the other recipients this evening.

This Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

Unused prescription medications too often end up in the wrong hands — leading to dangerous and sometimes tragic outcomes.

That’s why communities across the country are coming together to safely dispose of them.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will host the:
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Saturday, October 24, 2026
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

To find a nearby location, visit:
www.DEATakeBack.com

If you do not find a collection site near you, please check back frequently, new sites are added every day.

Twice each year, the DEA partners with local law enforcement and community organizations to provide a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of expired or unused prescription medications. Removing these medications from your home helps:
• Prevent prescription drug misuse
• Reduce the risk of accidental poisonings
• Keep families and communities safer

Across Delaware, Prevention Coalitions are participating in this important effort — making it easy for you to take part.

Please stop by a collection site near you to safely dispose of your unused medications.

Here’s the rescheduled Rock the Block event that is a great way for individuals, families, and groups to serve our community!

This Saturday, we're rocking the block in Wilmington, and we want you out there with us. Rock the Block starts with something simple: we pick up trash, clear sidewalks, and care for the streets our neighbors walk every day, because looking after a neighborhood is one of the clearest ways to show we care about the people we share it with.

Kids, parents, grandparents, and friends all have a place here, so bring out the youth and make it a family morning!

After the cleanup, stay for Trunk or Treat with candy, games, prizes, and a free meal, alongside Pastor Sandra Benson and Healthy Communities Delaware.

We rock the block because that's how you start.

đź“… Saturday, October 24 | 8 AM to 1 PM
📍 Meet at 1920 Hutton Street, Wilmington
Free, but registration is required at habitatncc.org

Join us this Sunday for “The Faith That Unites Us,” a special interfaith episode of Music & the Spoken Word.

We’re honored to welcome four special narrators:

Sister Camille N. Johnson serves as Relief Society General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, leading the Church’s worldwide organization for women.

Sister Jane Wakahiu, originally from Kenya, is a member of the Institute of the Little Sisters of St. Francis. She serves as associate vice president of program operations and head of Catholic Sisters at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

Rabbi David Saperstein is director emeritus of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism and a former U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom. He led the center for 40 years and has chaired national and international interfaith coalitions.

Imam Mohamed Magid, originally from Sudan, is chairman and founder of the International Interfaith Peace Corps (IIPC), resident scholar at the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center, and a former president of the Islamic Society of North America.

Together with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, these voices invite us to reflect on the connections we share across faith traditions.

Join us Sunday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. MT, in person or by watching the broadcast from wherever you are.
