September 2023 Elementary School Mission:

thank you for the additional help that came in this week to help us complete our school supplies mission with a full 6 notebooks (for all subjects) each for all of the 435 pupils, plus 80 will get new uniforms, and 180 backpacks. I will participate by video call with Joshua during start of the delivery service at the elementary school tomorrow morning 😊 God bless you all! 🙏 Care for Nigeria

I sincerely could use another $500 of donations to help these impoverished school children in Nigeria. I sent $400 more this morning (mostly from my own), based on $75 of donations received last night (from repeat donors). The notebooks are only 50 cents each so $400 (all I had left in charity account) is enough to add an order for 720 more notebooks (plus writing supplies) to add to the 1080 purchased for 180 students, 6 subjects so were planning 6 per student. But the parents asked we help the other 255 students as well, 435 total, so I asked Joshua to order 720 more today so that at the planned next Tuesday student distribution, he can include all 435 students (for better fairness) ... spread to 4 notebooks each, 180 will also get backpacks (assessed as those most in need), and 80 full school uniforms (based on observation of those needing). So it would be great if we could have donations of $500 more ($50 each x 10 people, Or a few larger donors?) so each student could get 2 more notebooks and have one for each subject. This is nothing to us blessed in America but really these families have very little beyond their strong faith 🙏 and are in need of assistance for education of their children. Thank you in advance. September 2023 Mission: A very nice thank you speech to our donors of Care for Nigeria from the headmistress at the school’s Parent Teacher Association meeting that Joshua attended today, where the parents were thankful but asked we raise more funding to also help the remaining 255 students (have supplies for 180 so far and uniforms for the 80 who most need them)

Please help us bless these 180 students as we did at other schools a couple years ago. We need to raise $10 per student to provide the needed back packs, school supplies, and school clothing. I’ve posted a request letter from their teacher, who our partner Pastor Joshua visited this past week, along with a picture of the students and pictures from our approach that blessed other students two years ago. The COVID-19 pandemic has made life even harder for the 200 million people that call Nigeria home. Government-imposed lockdowns that were required for mitigation efforts of the coronavirus has led to people facing hunger in many parts of the country.
