Thanks to a grant secured by the PTA, West Park Place is proud to be planting 135 native trees right here on our school grounds! This will be a lasting legacy from the PTA that will grow alongside our students for years to come 🌱

We’ve officially started planting, and it’s incredible to see it come to life. A huge thank you to our AMAZING volunteers Sheila Smith and Jake Works for helping us get things started! So far, we’ve begun planting Red Maples and Bur Oak trees, with many more to come.

A very SPECIAL shout-out goes to Keith Maung-Douglass, who wrote the grant and is spearheading this incredible project. His dedication to beautifying our school grounds each and every day does not go unnoticed! Thank you for helping make this vision a reality! 💚

Our school is participating in the Clean Streams, Great Schools Challenge! Students are learning how small actions can make a big difference for our environment. Families can help just by taking a quick pledge to protect our local waterways!

Last week was National School Counselor Week, and while the calendar may have moved on, our appreciation absolutely has not!!

We recently asked our students to share what Ms. Amber Logan means to them, and their responses said it all.

“She listens to me.”
“She helps me feel calm when I’m nervous.”
“She helps me talk about my feelings.”
“She makes school feel safe.”

Amber is truly 'dedication' embodied. On top of the wide array of responsibilities she possesses, this year she launched West Park Place’s very first Career Fair and created Knot Your Average Boys. Her work continues to open doors and help students see what’s possible.

Thank you, Amber, for showing up every day with heart, purpose, and commitment to our students. Thank you for always saying YES and going above and beyond. Thank you for inspiring all of us to think outside the box and to lead with heart. We are so grateful for you and the impact you make on our school community.

It's true! MUFFIN compares to our teachers and staff at West Park Place Elementary School!! They put their all into everything they do for all students and families and they deserve every bit of praise! And best of all, they believe in the PTA mission!! Did you know that last school year we had every single teacher in our school join our PTA! This school year we set a new goal of having every single staff member in our building join and embody the "T" in PTA and we are well on our way with 32 faculty as members. The parent/teacher relationship is what helps our PTA thrive! Our hearts are full of gratitude to the families who dedicated their time and effort to provide yummy treats for our staff. And a big thank you to Emily Sousa with bloom daily planners for the donation of beautiful planners! Community. Families. Teachers. What more could you ask from a PTA ❤️❤️ Delaware PTA

🛼🎶 Rooooollll - BOUNCE, rooooock -SKATE" That’s exactly what our WPP Panda community did at Skate Night last night at the Christiana Skating Center! The rink was glowing, the music was flowing, and the smiles just kept rolling. 💙🐼 We are so grateful for everyone who took the time to skate with us and build that wonderful sense of West Park Place community at a popular PTA event!
