Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

09/10/2026

Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible law enforcement officers across Delaware who support our athletes and champion inclusion throughout our communities.

Earlier today, Wilmington Wizards athletes Matthew Lavelle and Matthew Zoppi proudly participated in the De Law Enforcement Thank You Ride alongside members of the Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Their participation was a powerful reminder of the strong partnership between our athletes and the law enforcement community.

Thank you to the officers who go above and beyond to support Special Olympics Delaware year-round. Your dedication, encouragement, and commitment to creating a more inclusive world help our athletes shine both on and off the field.
