Gottscheer Choruses New York We are a Men's and Women's Chorus based in Ridgewood, NY. This choir was established to keep our Gottscheer heritage alive through song.

The Women’s Choir will celebrate its 90th Anniversary in 2027! Rehearsals are Saturday 9AM at Gotscheer Hall, Second Floor. All new members are welcome to attend.

Gottscheer Memorial Mass

We hope you can join us on Saturday, November 7th at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Glendale, NY for a special Memorial Mass honoring and remembering our deceased family members, friends, and all those who have gone before us.

The Gottscheer Choir will be singing at the Mass.

When you enter the church, you will find a table with slips of paper and a basket. You may write the names of loved ones you would like remembered during the Mass and place the slip in the basket.

The names of those who passed away this year will be read aloud during the Mass.

PLEASE NOTE: If you submitted a name at a previous year's Memorial Mass, you do not need to submit it again this year.

The Mass will also be live-streamed this year. Stay tuned for details on how to watch.

We look forward to gathering together in prayer and remembrance as we honor those we love and entrust them to God's loving care.

The German-American Steuben Parade takes place tomorrow beginning at noon. The Gottscheer Division is the third division this year. Please join us on Fifth Avenue to cheer us on. 💙🤍

The Gottscheer Heimatchor of Cleveland and the Gottscheer Choir of New York joined their voices in song to perform the beautiful Gottscheer Mass at St. Stephen's Church during the 61st Gottscheer Treffen in Cleveland, Ohio. This special celebration of faith, heritage, and community brought together Gottscheers from across North America to honor the traditions passed down through generations. And just like that, our spring singing season has come to an end! Right after our spring concert, we were busy practicing for our performances during the combined Gottscheer Treffen and Volksfest weekend! The Gottscheer Treffen mass was a beautiful testament to our Gottscheer community and ancestors that started these traditions for us! The weekend continued with a banquet at Gottscheer Hall for the Treffen, and then we ended the weekend with our 78th Gottscheer Volksfest!✨🎶🎵

As we take a break for summer, we look ahead to our Gottscheer Memorial Mass in November, Gottscheer Bainochten in December, and then the 90th anniversary of the Deutsch Gottscheer Gesangs Verein in 2027! We can’t wait 🩵 Keep a song in your hearts all summer long ☀️
