HANAC was proud to participate in National Night Out in Astoria, joining the NYPD, community organizations, and local residents to promote public safety, strengthen neighborhood relationships, and help prevent crime.
During the event, our team provided information about HANAC’s services, including:
🔹 Health Access Program – Connecting community members with health insurance, healthcare resources, and preventive health services.
🔹 DOVE (Domestic Violence Empowerment Program) – Raising awareness about domestic violence prevention, safety planning, advocacy, and available support services.
🔹 Legal Victim Assistance Program – Educating crime victims about their legal rights, victim compensation, immigration relief options for eligible victims, and available advocacy services.
We also shared information about the many additional social services offered by HANAC, ensuring community members know where to turn for support, guidance, and resources.
Community outreach events like National Night Out are an important opportunity to build trust, increase awareness, and connect individuals and families with the services they need. We are grateful to everyone who visited our table and to our community partners for making this event a success.
Together, we can build safer, healthier, and more connected communities.
