Our NYC Public Schools Summer Rising program gave youth a learning opportunity that stretched from the ocean🌊 all the way to outer-space🪐🔭 this summer!
Youth focused on their English language literacy skills and collaboratively built communities, planets and maps that told their stories while using materials and tools like clay, cardboard, circuity and of course their imagination to do so.

This year for the first time, more than 700 students participated in the Connected Worlds program across 14 schools. Thank you to the 60 youth staff for your work this summer, and to our schools partners in expanding our reach to young people in NYC.
