This past Thursday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul joined immigrant-serving organizations and community leaders at New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) for a critical roundtable discussion on the ongoing challenges immigrant communities may face as New York and New Jersey prepare to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

We were honored to have our Executive Director, Nilbia Coyote, at the table helping shape strategies that protect, inform, and empower immigrant workers and families during this historic global event.
