✨ To celebrate this extraordinary milestone during Arts Ignite's 20th Anniversary Year, a generous donor has pledged to match every gift made this weekend, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.

Another year, another incredible performance at ! ✨

What a joy it has been to watch the students devise their OWN scripts, which led to their extravagant showcase titled, “Tales of Acceptance, Trust, Friendship, Individuality, and Family!”
Their hard work and dedication absolutely blew us away!

Congratulations to all of the performers and to our TAs Rori, Reuben, and Taylor who helped students advance their language acquisition and social emotional skills through theatre. Until next time! 👏

Today we are sharing some photos from our energetic session that focused on the positive impacts of dance on our brains at the 2026 Face To Face Conference!

Did you know that dancing, especially with a group of people, can actually help you self-regulate when you are in a state of stress?

We hope this inspires you to move, and dance, a little extra today!

It’s the final day of National Teaching Artist Appreciation Week, and we’re closing it out by introducing you to someone truly special…Reuben! To celebrate our TAs and the incredible work they do, we are taking some time to highlight a few who help make our mission possible. 💞 Today, we are highlighting Reuben, and the work he did as a Creative Writing Teaching Artist, Logistics Coordinator, and Team Lead at Arts Ignite Waterloo! Check out his answers below! ⬇️

What is a moment that captures the magic of arts education?

“In just 8 days, our ‘company’ of Multilingual Learners devised and performed their own original musicals in front of an audience of young children from other camps. That audience was in awe, gasping, laughing, cheering, and still singing the songs long after the final bows. Our students got to see the impact their words, voices, and ideas could have on others.”

What makes Arts Ignite Waterloo so special?

“For two weeks each summer, we get to transform a few empty Waterloo classrooms into a joyful creative community of artists, educators, and students from around the world.”
His teaching philosophy is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: creative empowerment - everyone here is a writer and an artist. And above all, he hopes students carry one thing with them long after the final bows: Confidence in the power of their voices and ideas.

Thank you, Reuben, for making an impact with Arts Ignite!

Richmond. Check out her answers below! ⬇️

What was was your most memorable moment at Rising Stars?

A nonverbal student spontaneously joined a brainstorming session and chatted with Lauren all the way to the gym. “I honestly didn’t realize he was nonverbal - our conversation came so naturally. He continued to participate all week! I still can’t believe it happened, but I’m so glad it did!”

Thank you, Lauren, for making an impact with Arts Ignite!
