Did you know for 30 years we’ve taken care of NoHo’s public realm? Walking today, you may see our guys watering our new summer flowers, but the BID does this and a lot more! We sweep the streets, put up banners, have installed historic Bishop Crook Lampposts, used to put up holiday lights, and so much more. It’s our joy to keep the streets and sidewalks looking their best!

The Small Business Month Expo is back!! This Thursday, May 28th, join city agencies, government programs, private and nonprofit partners, and other supporters of small businesses for a day full of assistance - all for free. This event will happen at 60 Pine Street, just a short ride from NoHo, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

If you’re a business, a future business owner, or operate any kind of commercial entity in NYC, plan to attend to get help! See you there.

Early on in the NoHo BID’s history, we developed a plan for greenery in the neighborhood, and it ultimately developed into our planter program! While our vision for greenery and beautification has shifted a lot over our 30 years of history, rainy spring days like this still make us happy to know our plants are going to grow in wonderfully.

This plan was presented by Linda Lipay, a founding member and great advocate for the BID.

Great Jones transformed into a pasture today 🐄🐮 if you’ve been to our NoHo BID team office, you’ve seen our beloved Bessie the blowup cow, and when we heard that a cow would be filming in NoHo we knew they had to meet!! Always something fun and unexpected in the neighborhood 🤣

The NoHo BID is so sad to share that the iconic will close its doors in NoHo this June. Our hearts are broken to lose this neighborhood legend 💔 that kept the neighborhood fed around the clock for 40 years, pushed through COVID, and did so much to keep the community spirit alive in their doors.

Losing a legacy business is never easy, but losing this one hits us extra hard. Like others in NoHo, it was a spot to celebrate after NoHo BID celebrations, to meet for a casual lunch, and where we’d often take interns on their first day to get a taste of NoHo.

John, to you and the family, all of our NoHo love goes out to you, and we’ll miss you so much. To our NoHo community, go show some love to this favorite before it shuts its doors on June 21st.
