New York, NY (June 19, 2026) — The National Action Network (NAN) and Rev. Al Sharpton will welcome New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to NAN’s weekly Saturday Action Rally on the final weekend before New York’s Primary Election and during the Juneteenth holiday weekend.

Mayor Mamdani will join Rev. Sharpton, elected officials, faith leaders, and community members for a discussion on issues impacting New Yorkers and the importance of civic engagement ahead of the upcoming election.

Rev. Sharpton will join artists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and thought leaders, including Ghostface Killah, Big Daddy Kane, Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal of Earn Your Leisure, John Hope Bryant, Alicia Lyttle, Beatrice Dixon, and others for a conversation on leadership, economic empowerment, culture, and the future of our communities.

As we commemorate Juneteenth and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of freedom, justice, and opportunity, these conversations remain essential to building stronger communities and expanding pathways to empowerment.

Tonight, we will join faith leaders, community organizations, and friends of the Haitian community for a Juneteenth Celebration and Prayer Vigil for Haiti in Brooklyn.

Juneteenth reminds us that the struggle for freedom is ongoing. As we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved Africans in America, we also stand in prayer and solidarity with the people of Haiti and all those seeking justice, peace, and dignity.

We look forward to joining clergy, advocates, and community leaders as we reflect on our shared history, our common struggles, and our collective responsibility to keep fighting for freedom and justice.
