Fresh, FREE fruits and vegetables are available this Wednesday and Saturday at Harlem Grown's farm stands! 🥗

⚠️ Friendly reminder ⚠️ There will be no farm stand on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

Instead, join us on Saturday, June 20th, at our 134th St. Farm for a day of community, culture, free food, and fun as we celebrate Juneteenth together!

That's a wrap on our After-School year! 🌱

We celebrated our end-of-year showcase: "Our Stories, Our Foods, Our Future." Our participants shared everything they've learned at Harlem Grown — from food justice to cultural traditions — through dioramas, poster boards, and even dances! So much creativity, growth, and heart came together on the farm 💚

Thank you to every family who came out to celebrate with us. And to our After-School crew: thank you for an incredible year, let's keep growing! 🌻

Summer Farm Tour Season is almost here, and we're so excited to welcome you back to the farm! 🌞

🍯 Happy World Bee Day from Harlem! 🐝

Did you know Harlem Grown has beehives? Last year, our busy little neighbors produced over 230 pounds of honey!

Bees are so much more than honey makers, they are essential members of the farm and food system. They help plants reproduce, support the growth of fruits and vegetables, and play a key role in healthy ecosystems.

Here's the sad reality: in New York State alone, up to 60% of native pollinator species - bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, and more - are at risk of disappearing. That's why the work of protecting pollinator habitats in communities like ours matters so much.

Big news at Harlem Grown! 🎊

We’re thrilled to celebrate two incredible members of our team: Idalia Bamert, our Farm Education Manager, and Sasha Dubose, our Chef Educator, for being named to the Hunter College New York City Food Policy Center 40 Under 40 list!

This roster honors the educators, advocates, chefs, farmers, and changemakers helping shape a more equitable, sustainable food system across New York City - and we couldn’t imagine two more deserving people to be part of it.

Through their compassion, creativity, and dedication, they continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of our students and community every single day.
