More than 500,000 people were directly affected by the race for a cure, and many more people were affected by the loss of relatives and friends.⁣

Traumas can affect our lives in different ways, and as difficult as it is to deal with unexpected events and situations, it is important to find a way to heal our traumas. Follow our project and find comfort and courage in impactful stories.⁣

This year marks 20 years since the September 11 attack. For many this date means memories but for young people who were born and raised after this milestone it can be a little difficult to understand how our history has been affected.

Our project uses real stories, shared by more than 136 people, to revitalize that moment and share with future generations the importance of remembering.

The Severe Clear 9/11 project gathered 136 personal stories written in the days following attacks in 2001 that killed 2,997 people on American soil. Raw and inspiring first-hand accounts from witnesses, survivors, First Responders. Published here for the first time.

The goal: Create an online archive preserving these inspiring stories healing from trauma for posterity. Keep the stories Free and Accessible To All, especially those born before 9/11 and their teachers.
