Is a protagonist's dramatic power commensurate with the difficulty of his/her choices? That question evolved from scenes penned by Jerome Arthur John and Charles White and read at tonight's HP21 workshop. Actors Patrice Battey-Simon, Laura Bowman, Gaynelle Jasper and Ryan Sett handled the scenes and discussions with their customary aplomb. Kudos to the group for the work and the fellowship!

Does comedy require a primary and a secondary conflict? This question and others were generated by scene readings at tonight's HP21 workshop. J. Marshall Evans, Jerome Arthur John and Charles White presented scenes that were interpreted by actors Gaynelle Jasper, Demetrius Kee, Ingrid Moore and Ryan Sett. Does the protagonist in a horror script need a clear flaw? This question came up in a writer-heavy HP21 workshop tonight. Thespian Demetrius Kee did most of the heavy lifting on scenes presented by Laura Bowman, J. Marshall Evans, Jerome Arthur John and Charles White. The writers of course pitched in on the reading and, with one exception, all are competent actors. Thanks to the group for another productive Friday night!
