The Heart is a Pharmacy if you need medicine and healing.
The drum is a prayer if you want to communicate with God, nature and the Universe.

The drum is a meditation if you want to have an inner talk with yourself. The drum brings wisdom if you need knowledge.

Happy October, Family 🍂🍁💛🎃

It is said that this time of the year, the veils between the worlds thin and proof of magic is more and more evident. Across the world traditions celebrate their Ancestors with days of remembrance and honoring. The ancient astronomers understood that witches zooming through night skies on their broom sticks were a phenomenal interpretation of the two meteor showers that take place every year at this time. And yet, the turn of seasons beckons us deeper into the mystery of eternal life and light, we seek for something numinous that will affirm an inner knowing. As the harmony loving libra balances us out and leads us to Scorpio, we are encouraged to pe*****te the depth of our own inner universe while keeping our hearts as light as feathers. What some call spooky season, we understand as a season of possibility where we cannot help but reach for evidence that there really is something beyond what is seen with our eyes. Something that is known and remembered in our hearts.

This October, we welcome you to journey with us through a series of offerings designed to recognize the Truth your heart already knows.

Join Maestro Manuel on November 1st for Hand Drum Making Workshop

Sunday, November 1, 2026
8:00 AM 4:00 PM

**** PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER BY THURSDAY 10/8 TO SECURE MATERIALS ****

The drum is a sacred instrument that invokes the heart and speaks a universal language. Its rhythmic heartbeat is at the center of ceremonies held by people all over the world. The shamanic drum is used to communicate with the Spirit and to connect our hearts with the heartbeat of the Earth. It is a powerful medicine that heals the body, heart, mind, and spirit.

In this workshop, Maestro Manuel Rufino, spiritual leader, elder, and the visionary founder of the Golden Drum brings us together in a sacred space to create our own ceremonial hand drum and learn a frame hand drum-tying technique.

The creation of the drum is a prayer and a ceremony in itself. We will work with our drums as a visioning meditation for our lives and our paths, so that our thoughts and intentions remain in a high vibration as we create the drums and through that process they become part of the drums. Making your own personal drum is a sacred journey, and the power of making something like this with your own hands is incredible; it becomes an extension of your own heart & mind.

A very warm Welcome Home to the Kichwa~Sarayaku delegation who is visiting New York for the United Nations Climate Change Conference. We are delighted to have you stay with us for the first time.

An integral aspect of our work since we opened our doors almost 16 years ago has been to host elders and representatives from all nations and wisdom traditions from across the world, with a specials focus on the Amerikua lands.

It is a great honor for us to host our guests so that their work can be performed during their time in New York.

Please always reach out to us in the event that you or someone you are working with or helping needs a place to stay during their conferences, or if you would like a safe, clean, welcome space to stay and be fed to come and share the work of your tradition at the Golden Drum.

Wishing our friends from Ecuador great focus and success in their work this week, and please stay tuned for a story or post sharing their crafts and jewelry.

Thank you 🙏🏽

Tz'ules comes from the Maya Kiché tradition but has initiated herself in the knowledge and practices of many wisdom traditions and honors all of life.

"My purpose in guiding others is to create spaces where they can look inward, listen to their own truth, and remember that spirituality is not merely about speaking of love, consciousness, or harmony, but also about striving to live them out every day."

Fall Equinox Cacao Ceremony with Maestro Manuel Rufino, Ekaa Virikuta Wixárika, and Dream Seed

Saturday, September 19, 2026
7:00 PM 10:00 PM

We invite you to join us in celebration of the Fall Equinox, with beloved Elder Maestro Manuel Rufino, special guest Ekaa Virikuta Wixárika and Dream Seed for a sacred Cacao Ceremony.

The Fall Equinox marks a point of equilibrium between light and darkness, and the beginning of the gradual movement inward that characterizes the season ahead.

A plant revered by the indigenous people of the Americas, cacao has received widespread recognition through its usage as the key ingredient in chocolate. For the Mayan people, cacao is utilized as a rebirthing medicine, helping people get rid of negativity, release emotional suffering, and experience universal love.

Space is limited, RSVP through our Bio.
