INVITATION TO THE 2024 YORUBA NATIONAL CONVENTION.
AUGUST 8 – 11, 2024, VANCOUVER, CANADA.
Egbé Omo Yorùbá, North America, is the National Association of Yorùbá Descendants in North America (Egbé), a non-partisan, non-sectarian organization of Yoruba descendants in North America, comprising the United States and Canada. It is an organization that has dedicated itself to the socio-political, economic, and socio-cultural development of Yoruba people at home and in the Diaspora.
The Egbé holds an Annual Convention, during which it addresses important issues and provides a forum to discuss cultural, economic, and social political issues that affect the Yorùbá worldwide. This year is the 30th anniversary of Egbe Omo Yoruba, North America, and it is a special convention.
Yoruba Social and Cultural Association of British Columbia is hosting this year’s convention, which will take place at COMFORT INN HOTEL & SUITE, 8255-166 Street Surrey, BC V4N 5R8, VANCOUVER, CANADA.
The convention starts on Thursday, August 8th, and ends on Sunday, August 11th, 2024; and the anniversary banquet and fundraiser, on Saturday, 10th of August 2024, at 7.30pm
The theme for this year’s National Convention is “DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF YORUBA LAND…. A TIME TO PLANT.”.
