Chef/owner teaches Khaopoon (Lao Curry Noodle Soup) to the students at Chester High School !

Chef Sunny owns Vientiane Bistro and shared her cuisine with our C•CAP students in Chester today. We learned about Lao cooking and cuisine and tried curry noodle soup.

The students jumped right in, showed teamwork, initiative, and were excited to ask questions and try what they made. Thanks, Chef Sunny!

Chef Martin (Martin Philip ) from King Arthur Baking Company is in town for a book discussion at Binding Agents , and we are so glad he made time to visit one of our schools for a hands-on class on challah & pizza.

The baking students at Swenson Arts & Technology H.S spent the morning learning about shaping, braiding, proofing, and how Chef Martin got to where he is in his career.

Thank you to Chef Martin, King Arthur Baking, Catie at Binding Agents, and our chef instructors Erik and Shawn for making today possible and most importantly, fun!

Cheers to C•CAP Alumni! 🥂

Thank you to our alums and industry partners who joined us at Location 215 for an evening of cocktails, conversation, and celebrating what makes the C•CAP community so special.

A special thank you to Angie Marin, our Director of Alumni Relations, for sharing resources to support our alumni as they grow in their careers.

New connections were made, old friendships were rekindled, and a few conversations turned into potential job opportunities. We left inspired by the talent in the room and the partners who continue to open doors for our alumni.

New school year = time to (re)introduce the faces behind your favorite culinary program!

Alyssa Termini:
Program Director, Johnson & Wales Providence grad, and officially kicking off year 10 with C•CAP! 🎉

A decade in and still just as excited about connecting schools, chefs, and industry partners to build real opportunities for our students.

Her job? Making the partnerships happen that keep this program thriving.

Kevine Dupree:
Program Coordinator, C•CAP alum, Mercy Career & Technical HS + Lincoln University grad, and heading into year 2! 🙌

He’s our student-teacher-school connector, bridging the classroom and the industry every single day.
Bonus: he’s proof of what this program can do, from student to staff, full circle.

Let’s cook, Philly! We know this will be a great year.

JOB TRAINING DAY 4!

🐖: Per tradition, we spent the morning at - thank you to GM Annie , and for speaking with students! We had a tour of the market, students did a scavenger hunt and then we had lunch before heading back to CCP.

🗣️: A lesson on the differences between aggressive, passive aggressive, and assertive attitudes followed by skits acting out workplace scenarios.

🖥️: from taught students about POS systems and restaurant technology. Students got to test a handheld system and learn how technology supports the hospitality industry.

🤝: 20 guests joined us for mock interviews. Students went through 5 rounds of interviews to practice before heading out on real interviews in the next 2 weeks!

It was a very successful day, we can’t believe it’s all over tomorrow!

JOB TRAINING DAY 3!

🧁: half the students learned buttercream & piping techniques with Chef Rachel from

🧁: half the students made pastry cream with Josh from to make fruit tarts and banana pudding

🍽️: Professor Paul O’Neil from led a session on the basics of hospitality

🗒️: Our soft skills lessons focused on hospitality, boundaries, mental health, and harassment & knowing your rights in the workplace

📄: We finished the day with 14 guests who helped students edit and finalize their resumes

🍗: Lunch was roasted chicken, vegetables, and potato salad students made yesterday with Chef Nia

We can’t believe the week is more than halfway through, the students are doing a great job!

📝: In the classroom, students learned resume writing, interview skills, how to stay in a job, and how to search for jobs using

🧠: from ended our day by leading a session on food connecting to our mental health, wellness, and culture.

Our students are learning so much and are getting ready to enter the hospitality industry. See you back for day 3!
