Thank you for inviting us to spend the day with your classes today.

Former White House Social Secretary spent the day with the culinary students to speak about her experience working with the Obama administration and her career before, during, and after DC.

We’re excited to be part of a very special project with Deesha in just a few months - stay tuned!

November was packed for C•CAP Philly!

From celebrating Día de los Mu***os at .la.martina.philly , cheering on our friends at their .wagyu.sommelier graduation, and launching in one of our high schools, to watching our 11th & 12th graders perfect their French omelets for Scholarship Competition season, we were everywhere.

We visited Chef Treley at , joined the as they gear up for Delco 250, welcomed into Randolph’s kitchen for frittatas, welcomed Chef Mark into DCTS Aston for a filled pasta class, and even got a taste of “Friendsgiving of the future.”

Not pictured but just as important: a student starting at , another fantastic session, and lots of scholarship applications submitted TODAY.

What a busy, fulfilling month. Thank you to all the partners who make this work possible!

Two weeks ago we hosted the Teacher Professional Development Workshop for all baking & culinary teachers in the School District of Philadelphia.

These workshops allow us to share skills and techniques with teachers that they can bring back into the classroom to share with students, the next generation of hospitality pros.

Thank you to:

🏫 for hosting and sharing enrollment information with teachers

🔪 from for discussing sustainability & upcycling and teaching a session on repurposing foods that otherwise would’ve been thrown away

🐟 for teaching a session on traditional Peruvian ceviche using both fish and mango

🥯 for the bagel hookup for breakfast!

Thank you & for inviting our students from to spend the morning with you!

We had a great day touring the warehouse, learning about aquaculture, tasting sliders, identifying fish, and watching the fish cutters in action.

Industry experiences like this help students learn the full range of food & hospitality careers available, where food comes from, and learn new techniques. We are grateful to companies and people who provide opportunities like this to learn.

It’s one of our favorite events of the year, Audenried High School’s Senior Symposium!

Each senior creates and executes a business plan then showcases it to teachers, admins, and guests.

Today we saw food trucks, event planning companies, water ice shops, Asian fusion concepts, a Cowboy Carter restaurant, and everything in between. Everything is made from scratch, with passion, and researched well.

Students research not just their menus, but LLCs, licensing, insurance, and locations.

CTE programs prepare students for the workforce and it’s projects like this that prove it. Well done Audenried scholars!
