Terrier/Dalmatian mix • 5–6 years old • 37 lbs

Some dogs walk into rescue carrying a story you can see written all over them. Lisa is one of those dogs.

Found wandering near a school in a small rural Louisiana town, Lisa arrived with worn teeth, patchy skin, and a body that suggests life hasn't always been easy. We believe she may have spent much of her life being used for breeding, giving and giving without ever receiving the love and care she deserved.

And yet, somehow, Lisa is nothing but sweet.

She greets everyone she meets with kindness and a gentle heart. Dogs? Friends. People? Friends. The world has given this girl every reason to be guarded, but instead she chooses love.

Her soft eyes tell a story of resilience, hope, and a dog who is still waiting for someone to finally choose her.

Meet Clover 🌿

Part of the Wildflower Litter, Clover is a tiny survivor with a huge heart. Born on March 25, 2026, Clover overcame a difficult start after his mom, Aviva, was rescued from a severe hoarding situation. Against the odds, this little fighter has blossomed into a happy, thriving puppy who is ready to find a family of his own.

Clover is playful, sweet, curious, and full of puppy charm. Thanks to the incredible care of his foster family, he is growing stronger every day and is ready to start his next adventure with a loving forever home.

Because of his fragile start, Clover will need a family committed to keeping him safe until he is fully vaccinated. This means no public ground, parks, sidewalks, or pet stores, and only interacting with fully vaccinated resident pets.

🚨 RASCAL IS STILL MISSING 🚨

Please be on the lookout for Rascal in the Broadmoor area.

📍 Last seen: South Gayoso St & Jena St around 7:45 PM last night.
📍 Originally went missing from Low Cost Animal Medical Center (4300 Washington Ave).

We have not had any sightings since last night. Rascal is very sweet, but he is extremely scared and may be difficult to approach. Please do not chase him.

If you see him, call or text the numbers on the flyer immediately with the location and time of the sighting.

Any volunteers in the Broadmoor area who can help keep an eye out or search for him would be greatly appreciated. Every sighting helps bring Rascal home. 🐾❤️

Meet Yo-Yo 🐾

At 5–6 years old and 17 pounds, Yo-Yo proves that big personalities can come in small packages. This adorable long-haired Chihuahua mix is equal parts zoomie champion, cuddle expert, and comedy act.

One minute he's racing around the yard at full speed, showing off his impressive cornering skills and making questionable life decisions. The next, he's curled up on your chest, convinced that your lap, couch, or bed was designed exclusively for him.

Yo-Yo loves getting out for leash walks and would be thrilled to have a playful canine companion, especially one closer to his size. He does best with older kids who understand that even little dogs deserve their boundaries respected.

He's currently polishing up his house-training skills and wears a belly band while he works on becoming the best version of himself. We happen to think confidence and practicality look great on him.

Or should we say Mr. Bishop?

This 1.5-year-old Miniature Toy Poodle may only weigh 12 pounds, but he carries himself like absolute royalty. After his owner moved out of the country and couldn't take him along, Bishop found himself in a rural Louisiana shelter. Thankfully, this charming little gentleman is now safe and ready to find a forever family worthy of his presence.

Bishop is equal parts sweetheart and sophisticate. He appreciates the finer things in life—filtered water, a carefully prepared meal, and being treated like the treasured companion he is. His kibble? Slightly warmed, moistened, and ideally accompanied by turkey, his protein of choice. A king has standards, after all.

But beneath the refined tastes is an affectionate, loving dog who simply wants to be adored. He's the kind of companion who will fill your home with happiness, laughter, and unconditional love.

Right now, we desperately need TEMP fosters for several amazing dogs while their current fosters are out of town.

Even fostering for just a few days helps keep them out of the Stray Cafe, which is currently completely full and at capacity. Dogs are spending far too much time in kennels simply because there are not enough foster homes available. 🥺

Ariel is a survivor, a cuddle expert, and the proud owner of the cutest permanent wink you’ve ever seen. After an underdeveloped eye was safely removed, this sweet girl never missed a beat—and somehow became even more adorable.

✨ Spayed, microchipped & fully vetted
✨ House trained & crate trained
✨ Dog friendly & respectful with cats
✨ Professional-level cuddler

As a tiny puppy, Ariel’s future was uncertain due to her limited vision. Thankfully, a firefighter stepped in and saved her life, making her the beloved mascot of a fire station before she eventually found a home. Now she’s looking for a quieter, more predictable environment where she can feel safe and comfortable.

Ariel loves deeply. She’s famous for her adorable “hippo wiggle” when she’s excited and her favorite place in the world is directly on top of your feet—whether you’re sitting down or standing up.

She would thrive in a home with adults or older, dog-savvy children, a secure fenced yard, and ideally a playful canine friend. That said, she’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one-and-only.
