Early detection saves lives!

NOMAF, in partnership with NOLA MusiCon, AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana, and St. Tammany Health System, will offer lung cancer screenings for eligible musicians and culture bearers, THIS Friday, October 30. Screenings are based on age, smoking history, and other health factors, ensuring that those at highest risk receive the care they need.

For uninsured musicians and culture bearers, NOMAF will cover screening fees, removing financial barriers to this lifesaving preventive service.

Scan the QR code on the flyer for full eligibility details and registration information. Completion of the form accessible at the QR code is required for NOMAF to determine eligibility.

Last Saturday, the NOMAF team joined the celebration at the Ashé Rooftop Festival on historic Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Aptly titled “We Anchor the Culture” 2026, the festival honored the music, creativity, people, and traditions that keep our culture moving forward.

National and hometown favorites took the stage, including Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry, Orchestra Noir, Kelly Love Jones, Mikecol, Antwigadee, Pro$per Jone$, Flagboy Giz, La Reezy, Summer Indigo, Leaux Fye Tribe, Godlee, and more. It was an inspiring showcase of talent, culture, and community!
