🐾 Now Hiring: Kennel Technician – The Stray Café by Take Paws Rescue🐾
Take Paws Rescue is looking for a reliable, compassionate Kennel Technician to help care for the rescue dogs at The Stray Café. If you enjoy working with dogs of all sizes and personalities and want to make a difference while they wait for their forever homes, we’d love to have you join our team.
Required Shifts:
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Additional shifts may be available.
Starting Pay:
• $12/hour
Responsibilities include:
• Feeding and watering dogs
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and play areas
• Walking dogs and providing potty breaks
• Providing enrichment, playtime, and affection
• Monitoring dogs for health or behavior concerns
• Administering medications and preventatives as directed
• Assisting volunteers with walking dogs and supervising play yard time
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kennel environment
• Assisting with supply coordination for foster homes when needed
Requirements:
• Experience handling dogs of all sizes and behaviors
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
• Reliable, patient, and able to work independently
• Comfortable performing physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing)
• Proficient in basic reading, writing, and computer applications
• Must have a smartphone capable of downloading and using apps
• Must be 21 years of age or older
