๐Ÿ’™Men's Health Week 2026 (June 14-21)๐Ÿ’™

This year's theme is โ€œPartners in Care: For Better Lifespans Across the Lifespanโ€. This theme highlights the importance of support systems in improving men's health and wellbeing. Mental health is an essential part of overall health. At Odyssey House Louisiana, we offer counseling and recovery support services. To raise awareness about men's health and the critical need for regular medical checkups and preventive health strategies, you can wear blue on Friday, June 19, 2026 in observance of Wear BLUE day.

โค๏ธ CPR & AED Awareness Week โค๏ธ

Every year, more than 350,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the United States, and nearly 90% do not survive (AHA,2025). The good news? Immediate CPR and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) can double or even triple a person's chance of survival.
Yet fewer than half of those experiencing cardiac arrest receive CPR from a bystander before emergency responders arrive.
This CPR & AED Awareness Week, iPrevent joins the American Heart Association's Nation of Lifesavers movement by encouraging everyone to learn these lifesaving skills and help build stronger, safer communities.
๐Ÿ’™ Would you know what to do in a cardiac emergency?
The life you save could be a friend, family member, coworker, or neighbor.
Learn CPR, locate an AED, and become a lifesaver today. Visit heart.org/nation for free resources and training information.

๐Ÿ’™ Help Us Build 2,400 S.A.F.E.R. Kits ๐Ÿ’™
Hi, iPrevent Fam! Every kit can help save a life. Through the S.A.F.E.R. Program, weโ€™re working to provide harm reduction supplies, overdose prevention resources, and life-saving Narcan to individuals and families in our community.
In 2024, 533 out of 1,730 people we served shared that they have family or friends at risk of an overdose, thatโ€™s 31% of the people weโ€™ve reached. These are our neighbors, loved ones, and friends who need support, compassion, and access to care.
Each S.A.F.E.R. Kit includes:
โœ” 2 doses of Narcan
โœ” Sterile syringes & disposal options
โœ” Harm reduction resources
Our goal is to raise $12,000 to build 2,400 kits for the community. Donations help Odyssey House Louisiana continue providing life-saving resources and education through the iPrevent S.A.F.E.R. Program.
Please leave a note that your donation is for the S.A.F.E.R. Program. Together, we can create safer communities and prevent overdose deaths. ๐Ÿ’œ

Hi iPrevent Fam!
This EMS Week, iPrevent proudly honors the incredible team of Emergency Medical Service workers. National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's frontline (ACEP,2026). We are grateful to stand beside our local team here in New Orleans responding to overdose calls, connecting individuals to care, and saving lives through compassion, collaboration, and harm reduction. Our goal alongside New Orleans EMS is to bring change to the community by saving lives. Thank you to every paramedic, EMT, dispatcher, and first responder for the life-saving work you do every day.
