Early giving for GiveNOLA Day opens Tuesday.

Support for students starts in spaces like this. Spaces where they can check in, take a breath, and feel supported.

That is what CIS does every day, and your support helps make it possible.

Supporting students isn’t just about academics.

Sometimes it just means having a space where they can take a breath, check in, and feel supported.

That’s what our Site Coordinators create every day.

That’s what CIS does.

Some students just need someone to stay.

Our Site Coordinator at KIPP East Community Primary shared this story with us:

Around the start of this school year, one of our previous students transferred back to our school. The first few weeks, he had a lot of difficulty settling back in. Mornings were especially hard, and it was difficult for him to feel confident going up to his classroom.

I remained present and patient as we worked through his refusal to attend class or do work. Over time, he began to open up about his worries, and we worked together to build his confidence through daily conversations and affirmations.

Now, he comes in each morning with a smile on his face, ready for the day. He knows he can always come back for help, and that gives us both peace of mind.

That is what CIS does.

We don’t work from the sidelines.

We’re inside schools every day building relationships with students and families and connecting them to the support they actually need.

That’s how we keep students in school.
That’s how we help them succeed.

GiveNOLA Day is about a month away, and we’re getting ready to support even more students across our community.

The CIS Effect: When resources meet relationships, learning and economic mobility happen. ✨

Today, Communities In Schools (CIS) is bringing this message to Capitol Hill—hosting a Congressional Briefing to share new evidence on how integrated student supports drive economic opportunity nationwide.

Groundbreaking research by Opportunity Insights, in partnership with at Harvard Graduate School of Education, confirms what we see every day: relationships change outcomes.

CIS’s evidence-based model delivers measurable academic gains and strengthens long-term economic mobility. Students supported by CIS achieve:
📈 Higher test scores
🎓 Increased graduation rates
💼 Greater lifetime earnings potential

When we connect students to the right relationships and resources, opportunity follows.
