Sometimes the smallest changes tell the biggest story.

It may look like:
•Repeating the same question
•Struggling to find the right words in conversation
•Missing medications
•Falling more often
•Forgetting to pay bills or manage finances

👵 Check in on your loved ones. Start the conversation. Recognize the signs early.

💙 Share this with your siblings, family, or friends. One conversation today could prevent a crisis tomorrow.

Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or any type of dementia can feel overwhelming, lonely, and confusing at times. Many families don’t know where to turn, what resources are available, or even what questions they should be asking.

That is exactly why I always encourage caregivers to start with one of our support groups.

At Bayou Region Alzheimer’s Services, our support groups are more than just a meeting. They are a place where caregivers can connect with others who truly understand what they’re going through. We take time to sit down with families, listen to their concerns, answer questions, and help connect them with local resources and support services that may make this journey a little easier.

Whether your loved one was recently diagnosed or you’ve been caregiving for years, you do not have to do this alone.

If you know someone caring for a parent, spouse, family member, or friend living with dementia, please share this post with them. Sometimes one conversation, one resource, or one support group can make all the difference.

💜 You are not alone.
💜 Help is available.
💜 We are here for you.

At Bayou Region Alzheimer’s Services, our mission is simple to make sure no caregiver or family feels like they are walking this journey alone.

Through education, support groups, community outreach, resources, and advocacy, we are working every day to bring hope, understanding, and support to families across the Bayou Region.

Alzheimer’s and dementia affect so many lives right here in our community, and the need continues to grow. That’s why we are committed to continuing to expand our programs, reach more families, and provide local support when it’s needed most.

Whether you attend a support group, volunteer, share our mission, or simply help spread awareness you are making a difference. 💜
