Kids love to explore, pretend and play hide-and-seek. A few simple steps can help keep them safe. Lock car doors, keep car keys out to reach and teach children that vehicles aren’t places to play without a grown-up. If a child is ever missing, always check vehicles and trunks.

May is Water Safety Month, and with pools opening this Memorial Day weekend, it’s a great time to remember that drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4. Most child drownings happen quickly and silently, often with an adult nearby. 💦

Water safety starts with active supervision, secure pools, and formal swim lessons, which can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88%. Let’s work together to help keep Ohio’s kids safe this summer. 💦☀️ Goldfish Swim School
