For the final week, LifeWise sixth grade girls reviewed all the features of their new LifeWise Bibles. They memorized the New Testament books and tested their memory by trying to put the books in order without looking at the list. The girls enjoyed sword drills of some of their LifeWise memory verses. All of the LifeWise character quality words were listed with their definitions. A Bible summer reading plan with Daniel, Nehemiah, and Esther was reviewed and distributed.

Have a great summer ladies!

Last week was our last week of LifeWise for the 25/26 school year.

The 6th grade boys enjoyed sausage gravy and biscuits. We talked about how Jesus wants to exchange our sins and failures for His righteousness so that we can have a relationship with God.

The high school students enjoyed their last LifeWise class with food and games.

It was a joy to get to meet all the middle school boys and high schoolers. Hope they all have a wonderful summer break.

This was the final week of LifeWise classes for our elementary students this school year. Review relay/games and Pictionary were completed of our Bible lessons this year. The excitement was contagious as they recalled Bible verses, character words and details from our lessons. We pray that they all have a blessed summer! To encourage them to continue their learning journey of the Bible, local VBS flyers were sent home with the children. If you’d like to join us next year as a volunteer or sign your student up please click on the link below ⬇️🙂

This week our elementary students learned about Stephen, a follower of Jesus, who was hurt and threatened because of sharing the good news about Jesus. He showed COURAGE in choosing to follow Jesus; he knew God was greater than his enemies. Jesus said that those who suffer for Him will be blessed (Matthew 5:11). We can face suffering in this life because Jesus suffered first. He died and then rose again, and He is waiting for us in Heaven.

This week, LifeWise sixth grade girls studied about Jesus healing a man born blind. In the healing of a man who was born blind, Jesus revealed that He is the light who has come into the world. Jesus also gave him spiritual site. The LifeWise character quality word this week was RESPECT - acting considerately toward people based on their God-given value and worth. For the activity, the students played Blindfold Pictionary.

This week the 6th grade boys looked at John 5. We saw that Jesus healed a man at Bethesda. The man was disabled for many years and had lost hope, but when Jesus told him to pick up his mat and walk he was healed. In a similar way, sin has left us hopeless, but Jesus invites us to trust in Him. When we do, our sin is removed and we can follow Jesus. Our character quality word for this week was HOPE- expecting God will do what is best in every situation.
