🩶 TEAM RUBICON SUPPORTING LOCAL FLOOD RECOVERY

Newton Township Fire Department will be serving as a host site and base of operations for Team Rubicon while its volunteers support recovery efforts in our flood-affected communities.

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led nonprofit humanitarian organization that assists communities before, during and after disasters. Its volunteers—known as “Greyshirts”—provide services such as damage assessments, flood cleanup, removal of water-damaged materials and debris, and other recovery assistance based on the needs of the community.

If your property was affected by the recent flooding and you need cleanup assistance, please contact Crisis Cleanup:

This service is provided at no cost. Registering does not guarantee assistance, but affected residents are encouraged to call as soon as possible so their needs can be documented and shared with participating volunteer organizations.

We are proud to welcome Team Rubicon and grateful for the work its Greyshirts will be doing to help our community recover.

August Board Meeting Notice: The Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities will have their Regular Board Meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, beginning at 5:00pm at the Couch Connections Center located at 600 Senior Drive. For additional information, please contact Chrissy Cameron at 740-605-8192. Notice: Information regarding the time, place, and purpose of any special called meetings will be posted to the website www.PerryDD.org at least 24 hours prior to the special meeting. By law, PCBDD is required to meet 10 times per year.

HAPPY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RECOGNITION DAY!
Today we recognize the staff at Perry County EMA, those currently working at the Emergency Operations Center, our First Responder Leadership, and volunteer groups like the American Red Cross and United Way who are showing up in big ways for our county. We are grateful for your dedication and service.
