Intro to Music Reading is back in September 🥁

Join us at S.T.I.X. and take your music reading skills to the next level. All students will get to deepen their understanding of rhythm patterns, rests, and dynamics while applying reading techniques directly on the drum kit. It's a totally hands‑on experience designed to strengthen musical independence and flow.

Every drum has a story, and this one is truly special. 🥁

A heartfelt thank you to Stephan Esser for donating this beautiful Native American bass drum to S.T.I.X. Academy. Handcrafted from a hollowed log and rawhide, this drum was a cherished gift from his grandfather, making it a family heirloom with deep meaning.

Because Stephan believes in our mission, he chose to pass this gift on so it can continue making an impact through mentorship, healing, and community.

We are honored to be entrusted with its care and look forward to the lives it will touch for years to come.
