This year Neptune Beach Lodge donated to support a local youth baseball team. Today they are playing in the state tournament this week down in Oviedo. Every game they travel to this banner hangs on the fence and our logo goes with them. Good luck to the FCAA Tomahawks as they compete for a state title!

Another successful lodge night here out at the beach! We had 26 Brothers in attendance tonight. We started off fellowshiping before dinner. The JW made some excellent spaghetti and meatballs. After dinner we went right to work! We talked about what the Brothers missed at Grand Communication this year, discussed continued renovations on the Lodge, and several other items.

As you can see we have our new traveling tool ready to be taken. We meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Please reach out ahead of time if you plan to come visit and how many, either Facebook or email [email protected], or message our JW Johnathan Ford so he can plan accordingly for the meal!

And before we end tonight we want to congratulate our very own District Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Stephen Meserve on his appointment. Steve we appreciate everything you do for Neptune Beach Lodge, and your dedication to the Craft as a whole. We look forward to see what the future holds for you and Masonry!

Alas my brother.

It is with deep regret that we share the passing of our Brother, Raymond M. Corbin, Jr., a Perpetual Member and 25-year Mason of Neptune Beach Lodge No. 421, who has laid down his working tools.

At this time, we are still coordinating with the family, so more details will follow as we learn them.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026:
• Viewing: 10:00 AM
• Service: 11:00 AM

Location of Funeral Services:
Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens
1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

The family has requested Masonic Rites. At present, we are still seeking a qualified Brother to perform this service. If you are able to assist or can recommend someone experienced in conducting Masonic Rites, please reach out as soon as possible. Your support during this time would be greatly appreciated.

Please keep Brother Corbin and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Big night last night at Neptune Beach Lodge No. 421.

Over 25 Brothers gathered for our Stated Communication, and the evening started strong under the direction of our Junior Warden, Johnathan Ford. He put together a full Irish-themed dinner that set the tone for the night. Irish noodles stuffed with Irish cheese, layered with Irish red sauce and baked to Irish perfection. He added on some Irish breadsticks and an Irish salad. No one left hungry. He said it was Irish, so it’s Irish!

Dessert was just as memorable. The well-known banana pudding from W. Carl Thorwart made its appearance, and it did not disappoint. Except for those of us that were at the back of the line. There’s no shame in licking the pan when it’s banana pudding!

Inside the lodge, the fellowship continued. We proudly and loudly welcomed W. Carl Thorwart into membership at Neptune Beach. His reputation for leadership and ritual excellence is well known across the District, and having him join our lodge is a privilege.

W. Chris Giusti unveiled something special. After months of work, he presented Neptune Beach Lodge with its first traveling tool, a custom wooden trident. It is a standout piece and will no doubt become a target for traveling lodges. Between the JW’s food, the camaraderie of the brothers and the new traveling tool, Neptune Beach Lodge is a welcomed retreat for any traveling brother!

The Worshipful Master, Jay Bell Jr, shared updates on several initiatives:
• Recent donation to a local elementary school
• New sponsorship of a youth baseball team/league
• Planning is underway for our assistance at the Jacksonville Beach Easter Sunrise Service

Renovations are also progressing well. Bathroom #1 is nearing completion, with work on #2 starting soon. Brother Billy McMahan and W. Sam Shieder are leading these efforts, with a long-term plan to continue improving the lodge. Slow and steady will win this race because we’re trying not to miss any detail as we build out the building to survive for another few decades!

Momentum is building at Neptune Beach. The work is steady, the fellowship is strong, and the door is always open. If you plan to visit, give our Junior Warden a heads up because you don’t want to miss the meal.

The 2026 Officers of Neptune Beach Masonic Lodge No. 421 were formally installed in a well-executed and meaningful ceremony in Neptune Beach, Florida this past Saturday (01/10/2026).

• Worshipful Master Bobby Lessen (2025) opened the event, offered sincere thanks to those who supported the Lodge throughout his year, and then confidently turned the work over to the installing team.

• Worship Brother Robert Bracey, Installing Officer, presided with precision and dignity, setting the tone for an outstanding event.

• Worshipful Jay Bell Jr. was installed as the 2026 Worshipful Master, along with his entire officer line, marking a clear and united start to the year ahead.

• Damascus Commandery No. 2, Knights Templar, provided color guard duties, adding solemnity and tradition to the ceremony.

• Representatives from the National Sojourners, Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Scottish Rite, and York Rite were present to congratulate the new officers and offer their support.

The energy in the room reflected strong confidence in the coming year. As this marks the Lodge’s first full year in its newly received chapter. 2026 will be both busy and productive, with several building upgrades planned alongside continued growth and engagement of the membership

Freemasonry reminds us that leadership is both temporary and essential. Each year brings new hands to the work, ensuring continuity without stagnation. As one long-held principle states, “The strength of the Lodge is not in the chair, but in the Brother who fills it with purpose.”

With high expectations and clear direction, Neptune Beach Lodge No. 421 enters 2026 ready to build, improve, and lead.

Stated Communication tonight brought a strong turnout, with 18 members on the sidelines and two guest petitioners. It was a standout evening for Masonry at the beach.

The Officers delivered the ritual with precision. Officers who stepped up handled their work with confidence and needed little to no prompting. From the perspective of the District Instructor, it was a moment of real pride. The recent consolidation and the creation of this new lodge continues to show the value, and the momentum is unmistakable.

The fellowship afterward was excellen as always. The energy is rising along the coast, and the future looks promising. The work is paying off, and the lodge is ready to build on this wave of progress.s

Last night, 32 brothers gathered at the lodge for our Stated Communication. Good food, great fellowship and excellent education was had by all that were there. A mass mailings has gone out to all members as we update the member profiles to ensure clear and transparent communication is going out to the entire craft. The various committees are busy at work planning the path forward for the new lodge, so expect to see exciting changes beginning to happen around the lodge. Our newest Master Mason received his ritual and educational books and the Catechism Coach and Mentors are already at work to ensure this new Master Mason hits the ground running. The evening ended with several brothers sitting around the outdoor fire pit sharing stories and a cigar while the fire burned bright. Masonry is alive and well at Neptune Beach Lodge No 421.
