What a night at the beach! The Pack had a great time fishing (and playing, and digging, and splashing!) Monday night. They learned about local fish and the importance of respecting FWC regulations. Thanks to all the parents who lent a hand with setup and supervision! 🎣🦈🌊

THANK YOU to Ms Mary from the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for volunteering her time to teach our Cub Scouts some important and interesting things tonight! The boys learned the importance of keeping our beaches clean, flat & dark as well as what to do if you find an injured turtle (have your grown ups call the sea turtle patrol!).

Some other cool things we learned: mama sea turtle can lay up to 150 eggs 🤯, sea turtle can’t throw up 😱, and turtle can eat any type of jellyfish even the poisonous ones!

We’re so glad that wonderful people like Ms Mary take such good care of our precious local sea life. Thank you Sea Turtle Patrol for all you do! 🫶🐢

A trip to Fort Clinch State Park is a Pack favorite every year! The weather prevented us from camping, but the boys made the best of a full day of hiking, playing, and learning so much from the wonderful 1800s reenactors - they even got to see a canon being fired. It was a great day!

The Pack has been learning about the importance of service - to our community, to one another, and tonight's focus was on serving our nation. We were privileged to hear from multiple Pack dads who have served, or are currently serving, in the military. They spoke to the boys about what motivated them to join the military, how we can all support local service members, and described their individual roles in the different branches. The boys asked some insightful questions, from “why do we go to war?” to “what do you do if you’re deployed during the holidays” - which led us to making holiday cards for service members over seas! Thank you to the dads who spoke tonight, and to all the men and women serving our country. 🇺🇸🫡
