Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses. We want to make their wishes come true! The average cost of a wish is $7,000.

Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We serve children in 38 counties in the Middle Tennessee area, and have granted more than 1100 wishes since being founded in 2000. Every year, hundreds of Tennessee children are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. A wish provides a child and family with an experience that will restore hope to their lives and provide a joyful moment, or an occasion or celebration to look forward to during lengthy or life-long treatments for and recovery from illness. Our goal is to grant wishes to all eligible children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 in our area. If you know of a child who may be eligible, please have them contact us at 615-221-2200 or refer to them our website at www.middletennessee.wish.org. Every donation helps make dreams come true. Today, we’re highlighting Wish Kid Santana!

At 6 years old, Santana was diagnosed with cancer. He is sweet, spunky, and always ready to make someone laugh. When it came time to choose his wish, he knew exactly what he wanted: a trip to Walt Disney World! 🏰✨

Santana and his family spent their trip riding attractions, meeting characters, and making memories together. One of the most special moments was meeting his favorite character, Stitch, for the very first time!

Recently, Santana was a Wish Ambassador at a special Make-A-Wish fundraiser, where his mom, Ashleigh, shared his story. She shared what that moment meant to their family:

“In that simple, beautiful moment, our son felt seen. He felt loved. He felt inspired. The smile we thought cancer had stolen from him came rushing back. For the first time in a very long time, our family remembered what life felt like before our boy got sick. We weren’t patient numbers or medical charts anymore. We were just a family experiencing pure magic.”

Santana’s story is a reminder of the hope, joy, and unforgettable memories a wish can bring. 💙✨

🎀 Hattie’s Wish Granted! 🎀

Meet Hattie, a sweet 3-year-old who is battling leukemia. She loves playing with her dolls, reading, singing songs, and doing puzzles! She wished for a place to run, jump, and play whenever she wanted.

Her wish came true with an adorable pink playhouse filled with all her favorite things, including a little library, front porch swings, a tea party table, pink flower boxes, and more! Friends and family gathered for a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the playhouse’s grand opening and enjoyed sweet treats and pastries from Kings Baking Co., Ugly Bagel, and B’s Salty & Sweet.

Now, Hattie has her very own place to play, make memories, and simply enjoy being a kid. đź’—

Today we’re celebrating wish kid Camilla, a joyful 5-year-old who is always smiling. Her mom describes her as happy, smart, full of energy, and she loves to play.

Camilla is a heart transplant recipient. She and her family once lived near Disney in Florida, but her treatment kept them from ever visiting. So when it came time to make a wish, Camilla knew she wanted to go to Disney World!

One of Camilla’s absolute favorite parts was getting to dress up as Belle!

“Seeing her so excited and happy in her Belle dress was a very special moment for all of us. She truly felt like a princess, and it is a memory we will cherish forever. This experience has meant more to us than words can express. Seeing my daughter so happy and watching her enjoy every moment of her wish trip was truly unforgettable. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make her wish come true and gave our family so many beautiful memories together.”-Camilla’s Mom

This Wish Wednesday, we’re shining a spotlight on Wish Kid Dailyn! At just 7 years old, Dailyn was navigating life with leukemia when her wish came true. 💫

When she was referred to Make-A-Wish, Dailyn wished to have an extravagant party with her beloved baby dolls.

What started as a typical birthday at school quickly turned into a day filled with surprises, including a stretch limousine, a glamorous birthday makeover, a party complete with balloons, and the people she loves most.

More than a celebration, Dailyn’s wish gave her and her family a chance to focus on joy, laughter, and making happy memories together.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re honoring children like Dailyn and the hope that wishes can bring during difficult times. 💙
