FiftyForward is honored to celebrate a remarkable milestone this year as we mark 30 years of partnership between FiftyForward Madison Station and The Memorial Foundation!

Since opening our doors in 1996, thanks to an initial grant from The Memorial Foundation, Madison Station has been a vibrant hub for adults 50+ in Madison, East Nashville, Inglewood, Old Hickory, and surrounding communities.

Madison Station was created in response to a real community need, and today, more than 150 members gather daily for lifelong learning, wellness, and connection.

“FiftyForward Madison Station is a jewel in Madison that has engaged older adults and the broader community for the past 30 years. We’re proud to have helped establish this Lifelong Learning Center in 1996, and we continue to partner with FiftyForward to support this important work," said Scott S. Perry, President of The Memorial Foundation.

We are deeply grateful for The Memorial Foundation’s ongoing support, which has helped FiftyForward Madison Station enrich the lives of older adults for three decades.

FiftyForward would like to thank our sponsors for the 27th Annual Barry Coggins Golf Tournament.

This year's event was made possible thanks to the generosity of community partners who support FiftyForward Fresh/Meals on Wheels, our vital meal delivery program that annually provides more than 30,000 meals to older adults throughout Middle Tennessee.

What an unforgettable weekend at the inaugural Knoblin Fest!

FiftyForward Donelson Station kicked off the festivities with the Donelson Dancers performing the lively Knoblin Dance, and the amazing Britt Savage debuting her original Knoblin song.

The energy was contagious! We loved seeing so many Donelson businesses and neighbors come together—this is what true community looks like.

Huge shoutout to Michele Mazzu and Maggie Sidlinger for turning a creative idea into a fantastic reality. You truly knocked it out of the park!

And to our dedicated volunteers: THANK YOU! Your passion and hard work made this event shine. We’re already looking forward to next year!

What an incredible day on the greens! The 27th Annual Barry Coggins Golf Tournament was a huge success, and it’s all thanks to our amazing supporters, golfers, and volunteers.

With your support, we raised over $13,000 for FiftyForward Fresh/Meals on Wheels!

Age is just a number, and the inspiring women of the FiftyForward Donelson Dancers are proving it!

These talented dancers are embracing their golden years and getting ready to shine at the very first Knoblin Fest this weekend. Their special performance is set to a song by a local Donelson artist, making it a true celebration of community spirit and creativity.

Come join us for bingo or arts and crafts!

It's Bingo day every Tuesday and Wednesday for our Nashville FiftyForward Friends Adult Day Services Program, and we love to welcome corporate volunteer groups to join in on the fun!

When volunteers join us, they help bring joy to our program participants who love meeting new people.

We're grateful for corporate volunteers who've joined us this fall like HCA, CVS/Aetna, Hutton Hotel, Aimbridge Hospitality, Renaissance Hotel, Nike Community Ambassadors and the Nashville Sounds.

FiftyForward Friends showed off their creativity in a collage card making class last Friday. The class was led by volunteer, Caroline Orlowski, and Friends along with a guest member from FiftyForward Knowles walked away with thoughtful cards to share with loved ones.

Caroline will lead us in a Colorful Self Portraits class on November 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. Join us as we practice facial composition drawing using our reflections!

Over the past 6 weeks, participants in the Name String Art class have hammered, threaded and weaved to create their personal name boards. A small group recently finished. Look at how nicely done their boards turned out!

Last month, our FiftyForward Friends Adult Day Services staff along with our CEO presented a Friend of the Month Award to FiftyForward Friend, Marilyn!

Marilyn, always a willing volunteer, helps with a variety of tasks to support other Friends, and she volunteers with our 🥗 Fresh/Meals on Wheels program by making sure volunteer delivery drivers get their meal deliveries when they arrive on site.

🧶When she's not volunteering, one of her favorite activities is embroidery.

The FiftyForward Friends in our Adult Day Services program recently enjoyed their last day with the Vanderbilt School of Nursing students who’ve spent every Friday with them during their spring semester.

For their visits, the students created a schedule of activity days and even brought in a local police officer as a guest speaker. From informative sessions where they covered safety tips—like how to prevent falls and avoid scams—to activity days where we played bingo and did crafts, every Friday with the nursing students has been eventful and enjoyable!

Our last day with the students was no different thanks to the furry friend they brought with them from Nashville Therapy Pets!

Thanks again, nursing students! We enjoyed our time with you!
