The Healing NET Foundation mission is to optimize the care of those with neuroendocrine cancer.

We welcome carcinoid and neuroendocrine disease survivors, families and friends of survivors, medical professionals, or anyone else interested in lifting the mystery on this disease and improving the care patients receive. The main purpose of this page is to promote the work of The Healing NET Foundation in our mission to advocate for the best possible care of NET patients. Our Chief Medical Advis

or Dr. Eric Liu provides posts on neuroendocrine/carcinoid education and poses questions to inspire further thinking and education. We encourage comments and stories about NET experiences to be shared with others. We are not a medical provider or affiliated with any hospital or health organization. Dr. Liu will offer general information in regards to specific concerns, but is not able to provide any medical advice or diagnosis as it is not appropriate or legal on this site.

Congratulations to Josh Mailman, President of NorCal Carcinet Community and Member of the Healing NET Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee, on his Honorary Fellow recognition for the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). He is an internationally recognized advocate for neuroendocrine tumor patients and for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. He served as the inaugural chair of SNMMI’s Patient Advocacy Advisory Board and is a recipient of the SNMMI Presidential Distinguished Service Award.

Thank you, Josh, for all you do for neuroendocrine patients every day. We appreciate you.

📖 About the book: After he is diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, Tripp Avery feels like all is lost. He finds himself coaching a team of twelve men and eight women with cancer diagnoses of their own, hoping to qualify for the Mixed Masters Dragon Boat national championship and defy their prognoses. If they win, they will represent the United States at the International Dragon Boat races in Hong Kong.

📣April 6-10 is Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Awareness Week.

Over 85,000 young people (15-39 years old) are diagnosed with cancer every year.

🩵We have met some of the most resilient and wonderful young people living with NET cancer. They inspired us to start our Conversations online support group. We recognize that being diagnosed at a younger age brings unique challenges, and we hope to continue offering support and education to make their journey a little easier.
