From joining the Marine Corps infantry in 2003, to guarding Camp David, to surviving four IED blasts in four months, Richard Casper’s story is one of service, sacrifice, loss, and purpose.
After losing his friend Luke Yepsen and returning home with a traumatic brain injury, Richard found a new way to keep living — through art, music, and storytelling.
That healing became the foundation of CreatiVets.
Today, CreatiVets helps veterans process their stories through the arts, giving them the tools to turn pain into purpose, trauma into expression, and isolation into connection.
Every veteran has a story worth telling.
Every story has the power to save a life.
Support our mission to end veteran su***de through arts and music education at CreatiVets.org.
