The kids learned about breadboards & electronics at last night’s Young Eagles workshop! ⚡🔌🛠️ And we raffled another donated model airplane! ✈️ Congrats to the winner! 👏🏼

Everyone got hands-on experience building and testing circuits with lights, buzzers, and basic electrical components. It was a more challenging workshop than usual, but through problem-solving and trial and error, there were plenty of breakthrough “aha” moments.💡

A big thank you to Charlie Gray for leading, to the LWTC students for mentoring, and for the continued support of our chapter members in creating these hands-on aviation experiences for our youth. ✈️

BIG Congratulations to our 4 scholarship recipients! ✨ Taylor, Hannah, Krystal & Ava! 🩷 We wish them success as they begin their journey through flight school!

This was the first time our chapter has ever offered two runner-up scholarships! 🏆 The board approved & distributed $9,000 in scholarship funds. In addition, thanks to our strong partnership with EAA National, these students will also receive an additional $18,000 in matching funds! 👏🏼

Great turnout for our May Chapter Meeting! 🙌🏼

Pilots shared their upcoming travel plans to fly more. LWTC students shared how they are building more in their training. A chapter member generously gave more by donating a flight bag. We also heard from last year’s scholarship recipient about her journey through flight training. Big thank you to Corry Johnson, who gave an incredible look into advanced propulsion and aerospace technology, as well as to all the chapter members working together to help make these meetings a success.

Grateful for a chapter that continues to grow, share knowledge, and support the next generation in aviation. ✈️

✈️ Today we celebrated a collaborative partnership between Lorenzo Walker Technical College, Naples Airport, and EAA Chapter 1067 - Naples, FL. We cut the ribbon on a new hangar facility which will be used to train students in Lorenzo Walker’s aviation mechanics programs. This partnership addresses the growing demand for skilled aviation professionals in Florida by creating a pipeline from education to industry. 🙌🏻
