For Richie, this championship has always been about far more than fishing—it represents family, perseverance and a lifelong dream. After years of qualifying alongside his father, Richie ultimately achieved that dream by winning the Championship, creating a moment they will always share. 🙌

Now, as he begins this exciting new chapter, Richie brings the heart of a fisherman, the experience of a champion and a genuine appreciation for the camaraderie that makes our fishing community so special.
We know he will honor the proud traditions of the Offshore World Championship while creating an unforgettable experience for every qualifying team. 💙

That's right! We broke the national record for the most roosterfish caught in one day, in one boat, in Costa Rica! Congratulations Max and Bradley for showing up and showing out for Casting for Care!

Fish "sleep" with their eyes open? You might be surprised to learn that fish actually DO enter a restful state similar to human sleep. Although most species do not have eyelids to close their eyes, their sleep is defined behaviorally by prolonged inactivity and resting postures.

While this restful state is critical for energy restoration and disease resistance, they remain alert to surrounding dangers.
