When fishermen—commercial or recreational—are injured offshore, the road to recovery can be long and overwhelming. Florida is home to its fair share of water activities and no stranger to the unexpected mishaps as a result. Unforeseen accidents can create chaos in the lives of fishermen and their families. Medical expenses and loss of income quickly add up, creating stress, uncertainty, and even hopelessness. Casting for Care is devoted to bridging the gap between these events and the much need support our fishing family needs when recovering from injury.

In 2024, Florida reported 685 boating accidents and 81 fatalities. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community impacted.
