Providing safe, affordable, and dependable transportation for Naperville seniors to medical appointments. Our first ride was in April of 2017.

Naperville Seniors in Action was developed to oversee "Ride Assist Naperville" (RAN). RAN, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, is a volunteer driver program which provides seniors transport to and from medical appointments. RAN provides affordable, dependable transportation for seniors and their caregivers to medical appointments in the greater Naperville area. Volunteers will pick the senior up at their residence, take them to their appointment, wait while they are with their doctor, then return them home. This is not a shared ride, unless a caregiver accompanies the senior. Since then, we've grown and helped hundreds of Naperville senior citizens. As a nonprofit we are always in need of volunteers! Volunteer drivers remain our constant need, because without them, we wouldn't be able to "run". We are always on the lookout for engaging board members, help with grant writing, marketing, and fundraising. We ask for a nominal $15 donation per round trip ride to help offset some of our operating costs. No senior is required to pay if they cannot afford to. In order to keep this an affordable service, we do rely on grants and personal donations. Please know your generous, tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated. You are helping us continue to assist Naperville's Seniors and their families.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded to be grateful for our blessings and share with those who could use a little extra support.

On Thursday, November 26, Mesón Sabika and Tapas Valencia will provide complimentary Thanksgiving meals for individuals and families in need.

Please help us spread the word! If you know someone in need of a Thanksgiving dinner, please pass this information along.

Our Executive Director had the pleasure of giving a presentation to residents of Monarch Landing Senior Living last night. She was able to talk about the history of our program, how to sign up as a rider, and how to volunteer. It was incredibly heartwarming because we got to meet and see a lot of our current riders - including one of our first riders!

She also ran into her old boss who now works at Monarch. What a small world and wonderful surprise to reconnect!

We tried a brand new coffee shop today to meet a future volunteer! Shibam Coffee - Naperville is a beautiful place with impeccable hand-painted artwork all along the walls. My latte was delicious and gorgeous. We can’t wait to go again. If you want to meet at Shibam, we will buy you a coffee and would love to chat about with us!

A huge thank you to Alive Center for letting us use your amazing STEM Lab this morning for our annual in-person board meeting! Since we are a non-profit that doesn’t need our own office space, we sometimes have to get creative to find places for our annual meeting. This was perfect and we appreciate all your help!
