Nancy Guthrie
FBI 1-800-CAL- LFBI
This is for all of our Finders detectives out there. While much of the work happens behind the scenes, we've decided to share ALL the pieces of intel we collected for Nancy Guthrie so we can hear from you. From the initial request made by the Finders team, there is a wealth of information to review and filter. There is still a lot we are not including such as addresses and anything to do with numbers because Facebook has a cap on word count. We gathered data using several methods: starting with a blind email search, followed by an individual search during one of our Finders trainings, and then an open-question session (labeled Q1, Q2, and so on). With some solid answers in hand, we also hosted an in-person live training session and asked more targeted questions. The Searchers names have been changed out to ‘Answer:’ for privacy. This is the best example of working at one team. No one person is 100% right all of the time. There may be reasons such as their words may be out of their timing or seeing something connected to Nancy’s case, but not the target. A team accelerates the process of identifying the best scenario from a Double Blind study and creates a report based on the entire file. What is produced from this method is ‘Gold’. You are receiving literally everything we have, so put on your detective hats and prophetic eyes to discover what may have been missed or overlooked.
Multiple Pieces of Intel from Initial Search
Possible number of Abductors
3 men 2 women
Three on the side line, but not directly involved
I see a man and a woman and a third person at a different location- seems in city limits
A total of 3
2 at her house, and 1 accomplice.
3 are with her but there are others who knows exactly what is going on
I saw a vision of a man with a leg chain on one leg. It sort of hung open.
This to me means that he has a criminal record but is free right now. (Leg chain open)

2x Red and white oval sign ‘S’
1st Scenario from Intel:
Desert foothills NW of the victim’s home; described as a white, old-style house with a porch (4–5 posts) and a dirt driveway.
Confined in a basement-like space described as a 5x7 room with a dirt floor, wooden boards, and a small window
A male with dark hair, stocky, about 5'7"–5'9".
A female accomplice associated with a “house of prominence,” described in some notes as long silver wavy hair with bangs
disagreements suggested (“what next, do we let the bluebird fly?”
Indicated shift in the scene toward relocation, potentially northward toward a different desert area or into a region associated with Arizona/Tucson, suggesting movement away from the original house.
A large red and white oval sign that appears to turn (an S is noted in association with the sign).
A blue dumpster, and a nearby “66” sign motif.
A ditch or well near structures; a large dirt ditch (about 15 feet across) with a small white farmhouse visible across the ditch.
Descriptions of a basement-like or garage-like space with railed stairs and a dirt or earth floor in proximity to these outdoor features.
Navy blue 4-door car (older model in one vision).
Red/maroon SUV (Hyundai Tucson specifically named in one entry; also mentions a red SUV in other notes).
Potentially a blue/dark blue car for ambush or transport.
“Mercedes,” “Benson”
Several notes frame motives in symbolic terms (e.g., “truth teller,” “house of prominence”) and suggest contingencies if things go wrong, including heightened risk of harm or manslaughter if the victim dies or is handed over late.
Recurrent themes of darkness, basements, wells, and movement toward less hospitable or colder locales.
(desert foothills NW of a home; white house with porch; two-lane highway; nearby ditch/well).
List concrete landmarks to verify on-site (red/white oval sign with S, blue dumpster, 66 sign).
Tag vehicle descriptors (navy blue 4-door car, red/maroon Hyundai Tucson) for locating potential sightings.
2nd Scenario from Intel:
Here’s a concise, narrative timeline synthesized from the recurring motifs in the notes. It’s a working hypothesis based on unverified, vision-like entries; treat as leads rather than established facts.
Concise Narrative Timeline (events, locations, actors)
1. Abduction setting and initial confinement
• Location: Desert foothills NW of the victim’s home; described as a white, old-style house with a porch (4–5 posts) and a dirt driveway.
• Event: Victim abducted near or at this residence and confined in a basement-like space described as a 5x7 room with a dirt floor, wooden boards, and a small window (slit). Some notes depict the captive strapped to a full back cushioned chair in a dark basement.
2. Perpetrators and dynamic
• Actors: At least two perpetrators are implied.
o A male with dark hair, stocky, about 5'7"–5'9".
o A female accomplice associated with a “house of prominence,” described in some notes as long silver wavy hair with bangs (plus mentions of a second female presence).
• Dynamics: Ambush/lying-in-wait cues; tensions or disagreements suggested (“what next, do we let the bluebird fly?”; “truth teller” motif).
3. Confinement continuity
• The victim remains in the basement-like space for an extended period, distress evident, with imagery of darkness and limited access.
4. Movement toward a new/location change
• Indicated shift in the scene toward relocation, potentially northward toward a different desert area or into a region associated with Arizona/Tucson, suggesting movement away from the original house.
5. Landmarks and route cues
• Landmarks appearing across notes that may guide a route:
o A large red and white oval sign that appears to turn (an S is noted in association with the sign).
o A blue dumpster, and a nearby “66” sign motif.
o A large blue dumpster with an oval red icon, and other roadside cues.
• These landmarks recur as possible waypoints or symbolic cues for the location or movement.
6. Interim outdoor holding/location cues
• Possible interim site features:
o A ditch or well near structures; a large dirt ditch (about 15 feet across) with a small white farmhouse visible across the ditch.
o
o Descriptions of a basement-like or garage-like space with railed stairs and a dirt or earth floor in proximity to these outdoor features.
7. Vehicles associated with the event
• Vehicles mentioned in notes:
o Navy blue 4-door car (older model in one vision).
o Red/maroon SUV (Hyundai Tucson specifically named in one entry; also mentions a red SUV in other notes).
o Potentially a blue/dark blue car for ambush or transport.
8. Possible ownership or involvement by others
• Some entries suggest a relative owning the house or property used by abductors.
• References to a “Mercedes,” “Benson” (possible location signal), and other leads that could tie to suspects or staging areas.
9. Potential motive framing and risk cues
• Several notes frame motives in symbolic terms (e.g., “truth teller,” “house of prominence”) and suggest contingencies if things go wrong, including heightened risk of harm or manslaughter if the victim dies or is handed over late.
•
• Recurrent themes of darkness, basements, wells, and movement toward less hospitable or colder locales.
10. Cross-referenced notes and caveats
• The corpus includes multiple speakers with overlapping imagery (basements, wells, houses, vehicles, desert settings).
• All items are unverified; use as leads for further, official-sourced inquiry rather than as evidence.
Analyst notes and next steps (optional)
• If you want, I can convert this into:
o A structured data format (JSON/CSV) mapping events, locations, and actors with source notes.
o A source-attribution map showing which speaker mentioned which element.
o A formal, labeled timeline with estimated confidence levels for each event.
• Practical follow-ups for analysis:
o Map the described locations geographically (desert foothills NW of a home; white house with porch; two-lane highway; nearby ditch/well).
o
o List concrete landmarks to verify on-site (red/white oval sign with S, blue dumpster, 66 sign).
o
o Tag vehicle descriptors (navy blue 4-door car, red/maroon Hyundai Tucson) for locating potential sightings.
o Note unresolved elements (exact victim identity, sequence of relocation, and whether basement/garage scenes are concurrent or separate events).
