What if story time could help children build empathy, celebrate differences, and feel a stronger sense of belonging?

Napa County child care providers are invited to join Belonging Through Books, a special program in partnership with First 5 Napa County.

What can you expect?
🌈 A collection of thoughtfully selected books that celebrate diversity, inclusion, and belonging
📖 Bilingual children's books designed for ages 0–5
💡 Ideas and resources to bring meaningful conversations and learning opportunities into your classroom
🤝 Connection with fellow early childhood educators committed to creating welcoming environments for all children.

Through shared stories, children can see themselves reflected in the pages of a book while also learning about the experiences of others. Together, we're helping build classrooms where every child feels seen, valued, and included.

Se invita a los proveedores de cuidado infantil del Condado de Napa a participar en Pertenencia a Través de los Libros, un programa especial en colaboración con First 5 Napa County.

CRC enjoyed a wonderful evening of connecting with the business community and potential board members at the Joint Mixer of the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Napa Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Leadership Napa Valley at the beautiful Napa Valley Education Foundation campus. What a treat to spend a few hours in this beautiful setting connecting with peers, businesses, and partners. Thank you to all who made it possible!

It's Thankful Thursday!

A huge thank you to The Doctors Company for sponsoring CRC’s Family Wellness Carnival in June! Thanks to your generosity, more than 89 children and their families participated in a community event designed to support early childhood development, family engagement, and overall well-being. Families connected with valuable resources and services from eight partner organizations, gaining access to information, support, and opportunities that help children and caregivers thrive. In addition, 15 children received dental screenings and fluoride treatments, helping families access important preventive health care. We are deeply grateful for your continued support of families and young children in our community.❤️

The CRC Toy Library will be closed for Open Play August 3-5 while we freshen things up behind the scenes. 🪁

🚫 Toy Rentals: Toy rentals will be temporarily paused during the refresh and will resume on August 10.

☀️ 25 families + 33 little learners = one amazing Summer Learn & Grow Playgroup in American Canyon!

Designed for children ages 0-5, this playgroup featured bilingual story time, sing-along songs, and hands-on activities that sparked creativity and exploration.

From Ocean Life 🌊 to Animals 🐻 and Occupations 👩‍🚒, children explored, created, and learned through play! Favorite activities included paper plate jellyfish, bead threading, and interactive bilingual story time featuring Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? with felt board characters. 📚

Families enjoyed learning alongside their children, connecting with our Early Learning Specialists, and discovering fun ways to support learning at home.

Este grupo de juego, diseñado para niños de 0 a 5 años, incluyó la hora del cuento bilingüe, canciones participativas y actividades prácticas que fomentaron la creatividad y la exploración.

Desde la Vida Marina 🌊 hasta los Animales 🐻 y las Ocupaciones 👩‍🚒, los niños exploraron, crearon y aprendieron a través del juego. Entre las actividades favoritas estuvieron las medusas con platos de papel, el ensartado de cuentas y la hora del cuento bilingüe interactiva con figuras de fieltro inspirada en Oso Pardo, Oso Pardo, ¿Qué Ves Ahí? 📚✨

Las familias disfrutaron aprendiendo junto a sus hijos, conectándose con nuestras Especialistas en Aprendizaje Temprano y descubriendo formas divertidas de apoyar el aprendizaje en casa.
