I am considering adding Acudetox Specialist certification to my current LCDC credential. The training would be in 5NP, a standardized five-point ear acupuncture protocol used as a trauma-informed treatment for trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, substance use, and detoxification in a nonverbal manner.

That nonverbal piece is part of what caught my attention, especially for people who may not be ready or able to talk through everything they are carrying.

In Texas, Acudetox Specialist certification is regulated through the Texas Medical Board and is available to certain already-credentialed professionals, including LCDCs, who complete an approved training program and meet state requirements.

5NP is often offered in a quiet individual or small-group setting and does not require someone to tell their story or verbally process their trauma in order to participate.

I am not offering this service yet. I am simply trying to see whether there would be interest in something like this in the Nacogdoches area before I invest in the training and certification.

If this were available locally, would you be interested in learning more about it or potentially trying it?

Maybe prayer isn't something we need to perfect. Maybe it's something we need to learn to trust God with.

What makes a prayer an "A+ Prayer"? Is it how long it is, how beaut...
