🌱🎙️ As we continue celebrating our 40th Anniversary, this month we are highlighting the sister relationship between WERU and Radio Sumpul.

Founded in 2003, this partnership is rooted in a shared belief in the power of community radio to educate, inform, and connect people. For more than two decades, WERU and Radio Sumpul have strengthened people-to-people solidarity through communication, storytelling, and community engagement.

Today, we celebrate their commitment to amplifying local voices and building stronger, more informed communities across borders.

🌱 The agriculture project in the Las Anonas community is already bearing fruit.

25 families received corn, bean, and pipián seeds, and the community has already completed its first successful harvest 🌽✨ This effort helps strengthen food sovereignty in the community and ensures crops before the rainy season.

This project was made possible thanks to last year’s fundraising campaign. 💛

This year, we will continue supporting the work of CRIPDES and Sister Cities, and we invite you to be part of this effort by making a donation.

Celebrating solidarity and international friendship between MOFGA, CCR and CORDES 🌱🤝
Through the MOFGA El Salvador sistering committee, meaningful connections continue to grow between communities in Maine and El Salvador, supporting sustainable agriculture, community organizing, and shared learning around issues that impact us all, from organic certification and climate change to trade and food sovereignty.
Today, the exchanges of solidarity between MOFGA and CCR continue to strengthen these bonds and inspire collective action across borders.
