We’ve received several messages regarding a vehicle accident involving one of our Nacogdoches Police Department officers yesterday around 3 p.m., so we wanted to provide a very brief update.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries from the accident. We have been in contact with the officer involved and offered our full support.

Thank you to everyone who reached out!

Incidents like this are a reminder of just how quickly dangerous situations can arise, even during what may seem like an ordinary day.

We had a great time spending part of the week with the Nacogdoches Police Department Teen Academy!

We're always grateful for opportunities to support our local law enforcement agencies through community outreach, and the Teen Academy is one of those programs that truly makes an impact. It gives local teenagers an inside look at policing, builds relationships with officers, and offers a better understanding of the profession.

A big thank you to Pizza Hut for providing lunch for everyone!

Please join us in welcoming Nacogdoches' newest peace officer, Officer Jasmine Thumann, to the Nacogdoches ISD Police Department! Officer Thumann joins us from the Lufkin Police Department and will be serving the students, staff, and families at McMichael Middle School.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Nacogdoches County Judge Chris Bentley for taking the time to swear in Officer Thumann. This marked Judge Bentley's first swearing-in ceremony, and we are grateful that he chose to share this special occasion with us. We look forward to attending many more in the years ahead.

We’re so happy to share that Coby is finally getting to leave the hospital and begin the next stage of his recovery!

The past few weeks have been a lot for Coby and everyone who loves him, but we’re incredibly grateful for the outpouring of prayers and support. There is still a long road ahead, but Coby has proven to be resilient!

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, prayed for Coby, shared his story, or helped in any way. It truly means more than we can put into words.

Coby has always answered the call. Now, it’s our turn to answer his.

For years, Coby Carter has been the voice on the other end of the radio, answering calls, providing reassurance, and helping people through some of their most difficult moments.
