Young people often tell me that they are not happy with many things going on in our world today. I am right there with you There are many things wrong in this world and they displease me also. You are disgusted with politicians and government leaders for many of these injustices. Some of us blame it on the past. Some have given up in despair that nothing will ever change.
There is a famous quote that says “all that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing”.
My question for you today is are you a good person? If your answer is yes, then my next question is, What are you doing about the injustices and problems of the world?
The response I get most often is , What can I do I’m just a teen? That brings us to the crux of this post. We can’t have it both ways. Teens want to speak out and confront the wrongs they are seeing in this word. That is great. Some of you have very good instincts and are hitting the nail on the head. You demand to be heard even though you are younger because you reason that you don’t have to be older to see the problems. Again this is true. I believe you should have a voice.
BUT here comes the rub. If you are in tune enough to recognize the problems and concerned enough to speak out about them then you are old enough o be part of the solution also. Again I am asked what can I do?
The source of all the evils and ills of this world, which are rampant upon this earth, are because of man’s disobedience to God. This happened around 6000 years ago and this is still true today. Their origin is a spiritual matter.
Therefore the solution is a spiritual matter as well. No political party, no law enforcement agency no special group of any kind is the solution to the
problems. God is the only one that has the solution. He provided that a little over two thousand years ago when Jesus took all the sins and ills of the world on Himself and was crucified in man’s place to reconcile us back to God. He was dead in the tomb for three days and then was resurrected by the Heavenly Father and seated at the Father’s right hand in heaven and all authority was given to Him over all of heaven and over all the earth.
To those who submit their lives to Jesus and accept His free gift of Salvation he has given the right to enter into prayer with Him for the behalf of the world. The Bible says that Jesus is even now in heaven interceding on the behalf of the world. He also has extended an invitation to all who will join Him in this effort. So my challenge to you is to accept Jesus’s invitation and join in interceding for this world. Lift your prayers to the only one who can ultimately heal this world. Prayer to God the Father in Jesus’s name is the most powerful force on the face of the earth. If you really want to put effort into something that can really make a difference please join us in prayer.
